At any given time since 2022, only 3 of the 9 self checkouts work. Staff is kind and helpful, however due to corporate's refusal to add one more staff to monitor these checkouts, there often are arguments between the customers who wait long lines to check out and the staff

If you're on a time crunch, don't come here. You will have to wait a while to check out. Since school started again, they have almost no employees left. Those self check out stations are not utilized because they don't have anyone watching over. Everything else is mostly ok.

I've been shopping at this Pick 'n Save for nearly 20 years now, and I'm sad to report that the quality of the experience has gone way downhill in the past 5 years or so. I still shop here regularly, as it's the closest grocery store to where I live, but I find myself traveling farther to shop at Festival Foods in Verona more and more these days.
The biggest issue I have at this PNS is the checkout. I honestly don't remember a time in recent memory that staffed checkouts were open; every time I visit, it seems like self-checkout lanes are the only lanes open. The problem here is that this particular PNS only opens up 3-5 self-checkout lanes, which constantly causes backups. There is often a line of people waiting to checkout. Why aren't all the self-checkout lanes open? I'm not on break! Then there's the occasional situation that occurred this past weekend (mid-Sept. 2024): 4 self-checkout lanes were the only lanes open, and all 4 needed employee assistance; the checkout attendee was nowhere to be found, so everyone was at a standstill.
Finally, I feel the meat and deli counters close far too early in the evening. Make sure you get there before 6 PM if you think you'll need anything from these stations.
These issues are no doubt magnified by the lack of employees, to which it's easy for an outsider like me to say: "just hire more people." I don't have all the answers here, but something's gotta get done to improve the experience.

This place sucks for check out .... no real lines open, just self checkout which is fine I like using that but .... one old lady that Complains nonstop because people have Alcohol and she has to do her job.... why would she be the only one at checkout ... 20 mins wait to checkout .... 30 people + waiting, Horrible customer service from her she's like 85 .. Why aren't the managers helping out like costco, hyvee, target festival foods does... save a trip and go somewhere else... Do not know how to change trash cans i guess ... overflow and bugs

This place is never fully staffed. Weekends are horrible. 1checker for a Saturday? There should be many more. Why not open ALL the self checks? I’m sorry but I’m not waiting 20 minutes just to check out. General manager needs to get it together. Festival is MUCH better. In and out, no lines, adequate staff.
ALSO there were no carts! I had to find one outside.

The lady (Ch- something, her name was obscured) monitoring express check out today made sure it was known to me, after she had to scan my ID, that she might as well be a bartender with how often she has to scan IDs. I did apologize for the inconvenience, which she was kind enough to promptly ignore after a very nice (not) look.
She might have to reconsider her aspirations for being a bartender with those types of unnecessary quips. Meanwhile I’ll be reconsidering buying alcohol here.
The place is fine though otherwise I guess.

I'm literally writing this from my car to share that Cherry the employee was completely rude for no reason, my light had been blinking at customer service and isaid "hello, excuse me, is someone working over here" very nicely and she replied just a minute as she continued to bag a complete order for a cashier, she came over and said ok first of all this is a scale u can't put anything on here, I said I sat it down after the error to find some help and her response was I'm just letting you know and she walked away. There was another error saying to check that I scanned an item (which I did) she came over without even seeing the error and with an attitude moved my groceries down some even though they weren't backed up. She again removed the code and walked away to help another self checkout person bag there 10 items. The only thing I can thing of is I had my autistic son with me who was having a hard time waiting and they might of upset her but she was kind to the other customers saying thank you and that's no problem. Her attitude was unnecessary and I feel she discriminated against me because of my disabled son. Won't be back for this to happen again.

terrible experience with an associate, before i even entered the building. i was coming in an entrance of the store, followed by three other individuals. just before reaching the inside door, an employee stepped out of the door, and without saying a word placed a large closed sign in front of the door, and proceeded to slam it shut and lock it, right in my face. he could have easily let me pass through before locking the door, but instead i was forced to exit the store, walk around and find a new entrance. this was very unnecessary and unprofessional, and as a first time shopper i am not motivated to come back to this store.

I was in there from a company to do some sample for event the managers was rude. Only person tried to help me was this young lady from customer service she was nice. Other manager was so rude telling the lady from customer service she had to find her own cart and supplies never again coming out there to do samples again. They was so racist I had to tell my boss what have I experienced.
