The towels for drying were heated, adding an extra touch of comfort. The provided combs and grooming supplies made the task effortless, and the final fur spray left him smelling delightful.

The store has a great layout making it easy to locate the items you are looking for. I enjoy looking at their dog treat options. They carry a good variety of high quality brands. They also have fun cat toys up by the check out. This time I grabbed a bouncy ball with a few feathers attached. The staff member checking me out said cats enjoy playing with this toy on the stairs and that's exactly what my cats did. It's their new favorite toy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They greeted my dog with a treat when we walked in. I always enjoy a good pet store, especially MadCat.

825 E Johnson St, MadisonI never write reviews but had to for DHU Johnson street!!! We rescued a timid adult mix this year and were SO nervous for how she'd be around other dogs. Ppl suggested we bring her to daycare once a week. We tried out DHU and they really met her where she was at when she arrived. She was so scared the first day and barely left her crate. Now months later, it is INCREDIBLE how much she's grown. The DHU employees are so kind and worked so hard to help her come out of her shell. She now runs to the door once she knows we are going there!!! She plays all day and we feel so confident she is safe and loved while there. Wish I could give more stars. I feel they are mindful about the expense to owners, always giving options and never recommending unnecessary care or testing. Compared to other vets in the area, the cost for their services is reasonable and prescription food, etc is equal to or less than any place one found online.
We're so fortunate to have Sandhill caring for us and our pets!

3032 Progress Rd, MadisonOur dog Chevy, graduated recently from training at Madison, WI Sit Means Sit location! He had two one on one sessions with Josh and one with Brenna. My husband and I really liked the approach to training where they train the dog and the owners. Josh and Brenna were knowledgeable, respectful, kind, and willing to answer our millions of questions! We found the training to be very beneficial. Our dog Chevy was reactive to just about everything, but especially on walks and when people came into our home. Since training (and our continued follow through with coached strategies), we have noticed great changes in Chevy. More consistency with his “place” command really reinforced at this training has been helpful in allowing us to welcome people into our home with Chevy feeling confident in that situation. We have been able to walk on the same side of the sidewalk as both people and dogs with his good response to the learned heel response with attention on us. We are so thankful for the changes we have seen in our dog, Chevy since completing the training.
We were initially nervous about the e collar, but our minds were quickly eased by the knowledgeable trainers and after seeing first hand that the collar was a positive reinforcer only. Chevy likes putting the collar on! He responds well and quickly to it. It’s been a game changer.
We would recommend Madison sit means sit to dog owners looking for dog training in the area! As with all dog training it is not a “fix it” / “fix everything” solution, follow through and continuing to work on what you learned is key.
