Normally I go to the once upon a child in Rockford but I decided to try this one, I got there at 1030 had two totes. I made sure to read up on what containers to bring, just strictly said no bags. One of my containers was 18gl and the other was 27gl. The girl behind the counter made sure to lecture me that next time to make sure it’s two 18gl because that’s all you can bring and then told me but this time they will do it. Again not an issue but costumer service service could have been better. They told me the wait time was going to be three hours which also was okay because I was from out of town and going to explore. I get a text about 2 hours later saying my stuff is ready when I get there she told me my total which was okay but then when giving me the receipt to sign it said a different number.(higher) she told me someone added something that wasn’t supposed to be on there, but she didn’t want to waist my time/ explaining or taking it off so it’s the first total she told me. I found that very alarming. She also wouldn’t show me the itemized receipt because it had someone else’s stuff on the bottom half. All I can say is make sure you see what they are taking before you leave the store because I realized they took almost everything out of my sons tote which was all Nike and jordan. And for the price they gave me it just doesn’t make sense. I’m not sure if they are owned by the same people but I suggest taking a trip and going to the Rockford location, costumer service alone is much better!

Good place to purchase used items. Not so good to sell your stuff to.My wife and I brought two large totes with 200+ items. We were offered $57 for 60 items. We were surprised and asked to see our totes. Only half of a tote was gone. We were told that the items not purchased were either stained, worn, or outdated. We were a bit annoyed by that statement because we know we take good care of our daughters clothes… they left out some items we knew were brand new and never worn…However all the very nice items like double zipper sleepers that are $25 a piece new were gone and we were given penny on the dollar. Some of the clothes that were on their shelves we found the same day had poop stains on them…Seems inconsistent in quality and message.

They literally offer you $3 for a 2 piece Jordan or Nike outfit that’s in great condition and sell it for $16-$18. A brand new Mini Mouse Toy that is $49.99 they offered me $2.25 it was brand new. ?

I’ve been coming to this store a lot since 2020… The majority of the employees are lacking in customer service but I prefer not to be bothered when shopping so for me personally, it’s whatever. The issue is the quality of the clothing. I do understand it’s used clothing - so if I discover a small stain when I get home, it’s whatever. Kids are dirty. I went yesterday, however, and bought 2 Halloween costumes. They were in the bag and it’s my fault for not opening them up fully to examine them. The skeleton suit I bought was missing a glove when I got home (which is ironically the entire reason I bought the costume - I needed the gloves) and the jacket I bought has sleeves that were completely ripped open. I needed the costumes for a movie last night so I won’t be returning, but it seems ridiculous that the employees that took these items in either didn’t realize or care. These costumes were still cheaper than they would be new, but the jacket is going straight to the garbage bc it’s falling apart. That never should have been put on the sales floor and sold for more than $0.50. Kind of questioning coming back here because I feel like it’s sneaky not to disclose flaws (ripped jacket, missing a glove). When you’re shopping, especially if you have your children, you don’t always have the time or energy to spend a few minutes inspecting each item. This place is definitely way easier to navigate than other thrift stores like goodwill, and I’ll probably be back. But inspect your items closely because I’ve learned they’re fine with selling damaged goods.

Awful for what they give you when you bring in quality clothing. They offered me $8 for a pair of fringe boots worn once, a pair of cat & jack jeans never worn, a Wednesday Addams hoodie (high quality from a small shop), BRAND NEW Mary Janes, and a Disney Zombies hoodie that was worn twice... WILL NEVER GO BACK! F this place and the snobby high school kids they have working here.

This is the most amazing store ever! They always have new inventory and the variety of clothes and toys is outstanding! Also super affordable, very organized and great staff.

Def is getting pricey here. Don’t know how something like this is acceptable. Prices are very like target and Walmart now. I can go to either one of those stores and get the items brand new for the same price as used stuff

I took in 3 bins of baby boy items… had them in bins sorted by size and was not happy at pick up that everything they didnt want that i sorted was just tossed back in bins sets no longer together. Did sell 76 items and got around 100$ which was on lower end as they were higher name brand items but needed cash so I accepted. Wont be going through them again will definitely put my own bundles together and sell online.

We loved the selection of the clothes, and baby items. The musichowever is not child appropriate should fix that and I'd give 5 stars otherwise.

The store it's self is totally fine..definitely packed full in which case they are rightfully picky about what they will buy from you..if you get there early to sell before they open than be prepared to set your items by the front door and loiter outside a few minutes prior to opening...I'd personally think they'd not allow this kinda behavior but apparently they're ok with it..cuz I arrived an hour before open in order to go first since I needed to be quick and It seemed I'd have no problem being first to sell except 5mins before open some lady starts piling her items by the front door! She then proceeds to grabbing at the doors and I told her "umm there not open yet..." nada no response...and then she proceeds to wait right by the door!...which in turn makes all the other moms waiting to sell start lining up...ugh it was a mess...luckily I was able to get in second but it was still absolutely ridiculous...but yeah as I said before..the store is great..fair, friendly and pretty good service. Definitely worth a visit, ??

If you are looking for a wide variety of affordable mix and match clothes, child’s toys and furniture than this is the store for you. On the other hand, if you are looking to use the stores buy back features I suggest you seek elsewhere. My wife and I have visited this store attempting to sell our sons clothes that no longer fit. The first time we were told they could not accept soiled/wrinkled items, understandable because they had some dog hair on them. The second we were told that they are only looking for set items which was not mentioned our first time, which we found odd being that they only offer a handful of set items.

I've spent a couple hundred in the years they been open. I brought 3 bags of shoes and clothes to sell, like I've done a few other times. They ask you bring them in a bin or tote neatly put in. So I did that. I came to pick up the manager said my kids stuff smelled of smoke. I don't smoke in my house. Everything was laundered the day prior. When I get the 3 bags I brought in it turned into 4 bags since they went through all 3 bags until they realized it smelled like smoke...? Lol I've gotten things back before that were not they nice and neat way I brought them in, but I understand I it gets busy and might not have time for that. But if you smelled smoke why got through 3 big bags???!!! End of story I'm "banned" from the store and will take my business and good review elsewhere.

This is my first time at this children's consignment store. I was overwhelmed at the intensity of the air fresheners in the store. For the management: please, for those of us who are sensitive to indoor air pollutants ( including small babies!), stop using synthetic scents in your store. For future needs I will keep my consignment shopping to Happily Ever After.

REALLY helpful people working there... But OMG get rid of all the dang plug in scented oil junk, yuck!! I'm sure it smells in there but covering it over with more artificial chemicals is migraine inducing.I also imagine you need more help to keep up with this... But I found girl stuff mixed in with the boys, REALLY wrong sizing on the price tags, also wrong sizes mixed in with the racked clothes...Obviously it's resale,I didn't mind spending time but had to break it up into a couple visits because I couldn't take the headache :)
