They will try to sell you air to breathe while you get your car washed. More pushy than timeshare sales. Car wash was, however, what was advertised.

I’ve been coming to this location for years, sure they’d forget something here or there before but this time was the worst by far.
1. Much longer wait time in the middle of the day. They moved the vacuums so you stay in your vehicle until after the car wash and so they now have to clean everything after the car wash instead of during and while waiting for the wash. They have maybe half the staff on that they used to so everything is slower. I paid at 2:08 probably 10 minutes after arriving and didn’t leave until 2:45 and only 4 other cars were there.
2. The interior cleaning was very poorly done. Cup holders weren’t even touched, several spots on the dash/controls still dusty, they sprayed my trunk window then never wiped it down, I intentionally unclipped my daughters car seat and moved it to a clean seat so that they would wipe down the milk drips and none of them were touched.
3. This wasn’t a huge deal but the person on the iPad was training and was jokingly arguing with the other employee about how to explain one of the options which just felt unprofessional but again wouldn’t have bothered me if they had done a good job on my vehicle.
I gave 2 stars because they were courteous holding the door for my daughter and I and had a clean facility inside.

If you want to pay $50+ for the top interior cleaning but actually get the most cursory effort available, then this is the place to go. They didn't vacuum at all under my seats or in the cup holders and also didn't wipe out the cup holders at all. I didn't expect a detailing but at least a wipe down of the clearly dirty surfaces was expected. Very low effort. Won't go again.

I have been coming to this location for 30 plus years and the service and availability of service is at its worst. The service is more miss than hit. Short staff. Missing station assignments. Waiting for the auto attendant to function. No staff member available when the auto is not functioning. Simply not doing a good job of vacuuming.

I waited in the bay to get a full service for 20 minutes!
Your new procedures of sitting in your car while running and then going thru the wash, and then finally get the interior done is horrible! Car running the WHOLE time!
Why do I have to waste my gas and put fumes into the environment?
Not only had prices increased but now you have taken convince out of it.

Came for a car wash and the inside of my car to be cleaned. They barely wiped down the inside of my car. I had to go back over it and re do what they “did”. Paid extra for them to barely clean anything inside my vehicle. And I tipped before seeing the results. Not happy.

I checked out the reviews this morning so was unsure what to expect today. I did the basic plus, and added the mat cleaning- it was a Tuesday around 10:30. It took 30 minutes.
I think they did everything they were expected to do so I gave them 4 stars. They said emptying the side garbage pockets was not included so I did that myself. I’ve been to other places that did that though.
Additionally, I think they only do exactly what is included. So they didn’t wipe the sides of my trunk, only vacuumed the floor.
They met my expectations and I would return, but it would be awesome if they gave each car some individual attention as opposed to cookie cutter service. But for the price I think it was a good deal.

I’m sitting here waiting for a very, very long time. It’s gonna take a half hour to get in and then they’ll still need to clean the in and outside of the car. Not sure about the new system.
I will say the actual service from the hands-on attendance was excellent. My car was super clean. They do a great job. The system just needs something.

If you want to feel robbed or pay for nothing to be done to your car, go to Mister Car Wash on Park St Madison WI... $46 for nothing, that's a scam. Do not deserve any star .

I'm going to provide an update to my review from a long while ago. I originally rated this location as the best car washing experience I've had in town and overall in my life. Now I cannot support this view. Recently, it appears they had to change the process on how to take care of cars looking to get a full wash and detail, possibly due to low staffing. However the new process (Was then full detail) is not effective as it increased time to service by x2 or X3 the time of the original method. Definitely a short sighted part on the management/leaders. Additionally on the part of short staffed, when I was there, I saw a number of individuals simply walking around the line of cars not assisting whatsoever and leaving one poor worker to handle all the intake and flow of vehicles. From this observation there IS NO STAFFING issue but there is a STAFFING UTILIZATION issue. I do want to say THANK YOU to that amazing woman doing all that work and maintained a respectful and very professional approach with customers considering her management and teammates were letting her down (only reason I gave 2 stars). Overall, I will recommend returning back to Mermaid Car Wash and get their wash service then do your own detailing because the service provided for the high cost is not worth it anymore.
