We purchased quartz counter tops from Midwest Rock Tops in November 2023. Super friendly and helpful in the selection process, but immediately after installation, we noticed flaws and scuffs in our island piece. We called the day after to report our concerns. A week later their installation guy came out and took photos. Another week later they sent us the warranty and maintenance documents from the manufacturer saying "Hope this helps". We then demanded that the OWNER come out and take a look to advise us. Despite repeated phone calls and emails, it was over a month before he came out and agreed we had legitimate concerns. He claimed the marks could not have been their fault, and were likely flaws in the stone. He tried to "fix" one spot using a fine abrasive, which actually made it look much worse! He said he would file a warranty claim, which to our knowledge was never done. We never heard back from him.WE contacted the manufacturer to file a warranty claim. After inspection, they said the stone was not actually flawed, but rather mishandled. Since we were clearly not at fault, they eventually agreed to come out and do a "goodwill polish" which mostly fixed the problems. The customer service we received at Midwest Rock Tops was poor, even after spending over $9200 at their shop. We would urge anyone interested in dealing with this merchant to be very wary. Once they have your payment, good luck getting help with any problems. They require payment in full at the time the work is completed - before their workers leave. If you don't do this, there is an additional $700 charge.UPDATE AFTER OWNER"S COMMENTSIn regard to the owners comments following the posting of our review, at no time did he ever communicate to us that he had been in contact with LX Hausys or that there was any discussion about replacing the island piece. We had extensive contact with LX Hausys, and they never indicated any replacement was in order or that they had any discussions with Midwest Rock Tops. And to suggest that somehow we had caused any damage to the top because of chemicals they had used to clean the countertop after installation is misleading and false. The issues with the island top were reported the very next morning after installation. And finally, if Brian wants to follow-up and get us a new island top, we'd be more than happy to accept that, and I'll gladly change my review. Given his track record of not following up anything so far, we are not holding our breath...

Good price. Friendly staff. But couple things could improve on is communication. When i put my order in, i was the one who always kept calling and emailing to get an update on my order. After the measurement, the invoice doesnt show the exact measurements. So you dont know exactly how much sqft product you are buying.I was never told i have to make an appointment with a plumber to have my sink drain hooked back up. I had no working sink and faucet in my kitchen for 10 days because of it.When I came over to make the final payment, price was calculated based on my initial estimated measurements i brought in. But it was not based on precise measurement they came over and did, which ended up being significantly smaller. If i hadnt reminded, i would have ended up paying few hundred bucks more. That is it. Its just an honest feedback.

I'm overdue to post this review...Midwest Rocktops did granite countertops and fireplace border...they did an excellent job!The 1st island slab they installed wasn't perfect and when this was pointed out, they took that one out and replaced with a perfect one...all at no extra cost to me.They stood behind their work & products with enthusiasm!

I would highly recommend working with Midwest Rock Tops. We decided to build out our kitchen and add in a new additions. Our existing countertops were beautiful but kind of rare and difficult to match. Brian and his team not only found a perfect match, but Brian took the time to arrange the new counters to match the grain lines across the room. The pricing was lower than other local competitors, and start to finish (first contact to installation) was much quicker than I expected. Everyone we communicated with from Midwest Rock Tops were kind, efficient and super helpful.

The team members at Midwest Rock Tops made the process of getting 3 new countertops easy. I went to their show room so many times and emailed back and forth with them a lot, that I wanted to give them a great review. I am very pleased with the outcome of my new countertops!

They did some digging to find the color we were looking for at a price that was affordable. Installed the countertops quickly and they look stunning!

Owner Brian at Midwest Rocktops stands behind his company’s work. Today Jorge came out to repair a joint in my granite kitchen countertop installed in 2017 by Midwest Rocktops). Jorge is professional and amazingly talented. His attention to detail is remarkable. As rare as it if for me to create a Google review, experiences like this stand out. Way to go Midwest Rocktops! I highly recommend them for your granite (and other) countertop projects.

Great customer service and beautiful countertops. Debbie helped me choose a quartz remnant for my vanity countertop and was extremely knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with. Installation went smoothly. I couldn't be happier with their work. I will definitely use them again. Would highly recommend them!

My experience with Midwest Rock Tops was very very poor, to say the least. From the initial discussions with Brian, we were under the impression that the process would move quickly and efficiently, but that is definitely not the case. What little communication we did have was disjointed (can't get material, now can get material) or was initiated by me due to complete radio silence. Installers showed up in the morning when our scheduled slot was the afternoon and we were then told that they would call prior to coming back and they did not. Countertops are VERY poorly manufactured with incorrect cut dimensions, requiring a lot of onsite grinding/modification to fit, which they still really don't. Overhangs are all incorrect (less than 1" on one side and over 3" on the other). No response when I asked for Brian and the team to come and review the issues I have and see what can be done. My business will go elsewhere in the future and yours should too!

Midwest Rick Tops staff are the BEST!!! I refinished a small end table and called around for granite top only to hear $250 quote from other granite fitters in the area for 14 in x 22 inch, which was well beyond my budget. Until the call to Brian at Midwest Rock Tops, who fit me up with a scrap granite cut to size at a fraction of the cost!! Love that they think outside the box to ensure customer service!!!

We had a terrific experience working with Midwest Rock Tops during our kitchen remodel. They were very helpful in our selection of granite and arranged for us to view several slabs prior to purchase. Brian and his team offered advice on the layout, and the installation was very professional. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Michelle was great to work with to set up the order and Brian and the team did a tremendous job getting the tops installed on a very tight deadline - just before two big parties. There was some misunderstanding on our part on how the final product would look, but Brian calmly and clearly explained everything. He even offered a mitigation solution to give us the countertop look we envisioned. The installation crew was efficient and nice. The only miss was they ran out of clear sealant so we have one unsealed edge (they offered white, but that would have looked weird in comparison to the other clear edges). The pricing, timing and service were excellent overall. I would strongly encourage anyone to go with Midwest Rock Tops if you need quality and affordable stone counters.
