Do not rent here. The owner has spent over two years refusing to fix the in building dryers in the one laundry room, which have slowly stopped working 1 by 1, and in response to being asked to use any of the passive money he makes from tenants using these machines to fix the situation, he raised the prices on the broken machines. The only option is to walk several block away in the snow, rain, heat or cold to a public laundromat, because you can't count on the machines to work, and you can't count on the owner not spit in your face over it.

Landlord purposely with holding requirements for income to rent. A HOMELESS friend denied for "no housing" as a reason. When they have renting history in the past. Disappointed is the nicest thing I can say about this experience.

Metropolitan Apartments is owned by Cliff Fisher and managed by his company Fisher Properties. The common areas have been renovated within the last 12 months. It is 5 stories, and has an elevator, free gym and both a Mexican and an Indian restaurant right in the building. Many units are equipped with double Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs. All units have through the wall electric air conditioning units and kitchenettes. Handicapped units are available with whechair access. Basic Direct TV is included in the rent, and can be upgraded at tenant's expense. There is a $20 per month water surchare per month, regardless of whether the unit is equipped with the double Jacuzzi or not. Wifi is available through Wisconsin. Although the units are quite small, they are space efficient. Heat is included, tenant pays for electric. Managemeht and fellow tenants are quite friendly. The building is very quiet. The location cannot be beat. Capital Market is 1/2 block away. Now for the one very bad thing. The building has a MASSIVE cockroach infestation. In every other aspect, Metropolitan Apartments is a great value for the money, but I cannot deal with the cockroach infestation any longer.
