I had a huge glass replaced in the living room about 2.5 years ago, it wasn't cheap including they charged $300 to install. During the two winters, my wife would complain that it was colder than normal when she sits next to the window, but I just mistook that as normal as she is sitting next to huge windows. Well, few days ago, with the huge storm we got hit, we had water coming through the glass that this company has installed. Water was pouring in through the gaps. Well this explain my wife complain the colder air coming through. It doesn't seem the company sealed the glass very well when installing. It is amazing that Martin Glass after I emailed them told me that this is normal.
This is the response I got from Martin Glass;
"The water filtration is unlikely to be caused by glass installation. Big rain storms with driving rain can cause minor water filtration."
This wasn't minor water filtration, this was me wiping the water and it would come in right away, and there is no way that any air or water coming in through the glass is normal. This is not through the glass but through the outside the structure that the glass sits in.

What a great company! They know exactly what they are doing and they know their market very well. The store is not appealing to the eye, but the staff will put a smile on your face or at least make you feel comfortable especially knowing you are probably there because something broke and they want to help.

I took my sliding screen door to Martin Glass to have it remade because it wasn't a standard measurement that I could purchase from the store. They have multiple options to choose from when having a screen door custom-made, including more sturdy screen options than the basic vinyl, and they were very speedy with my order - it was completed within 2 days for a reasonable price.
They have good customer service, too. When I mentioned that there was no handle on my door (just the locking mechanism), they quickly made a plan with me to resolve that. Since I don't have a vehicle large enough to transport the door and had previously had to arrange for a friend to help drop off and pick up, they sent someone out to place the handle on so I didn't have to coordinate this again. The owner himself called me back to schedule a time, and the two gentleman that came out to place the handle gave me color options and were very speedy and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone based on this experience, especially to support local!

New screen material used for my sliding glass door. Stainless steel mesh. Tonight got its first real test. My cat put her claws into it and got stuck. Mesh held up perfectly. While outside, it looks like there isn't even a screen. Wonderful product by a wonderful company. Will be taking the rest of my screens to them to replace the old worn out metal screens with this product for sure!

I worked with Sam and the front counter and Chuck at the house. Friendly service, good work and reasonably priced as well.
Before you think about swapping windows out, consider these guys for very cost effective solutions, especially in contrast to some of what window dealers price their products at. A well known highly advertised provider of replacement windows wanted $13,000 to replace a window. That alone is obscene. However, Martin was out and replaced all the glass without removing the window for hundreds of dollars. Workmanship looks great.
Friendly people, competent at their job and priced well.

Effortless patio glass replacement. Came to measure a huge patio pane that had salts depositing inside the double panes. Placed an order, 3 weeks later, two folks came in and replaced the glass.
I thought it would take more, but all I had to do was open the door and my patio glass door was fixed and as good as new. Everything cleaned and functional. Hard to not be impressed even though there is a slight bit (5-10%) premium compared to a few other shops.

I took a screen in for repair. I was told they "probably could" repair it, but new would be better. More expensive, but better. I said fine. I got the new screen home and it is too small. I took it back and asked if they could make a new one the correct size, and the manager just keeps telling me that it was the same exact size as the old one (it is not), and proceeded to argue with me about it, with the tape measure and the old screen in hand. Then he said "maybe the screen goes into a different window". He continuously interrupted me and never let me finish a sentence, and when I asked him why it didn't have the lip like the old screen does (which would have at least made it fit vertically) he asked me to leave. I asked why he wouldn't answer my question or look at the picture I took of it in the window showing the gap and he said "because I'm right!!" I am not a screen expert, but the way I measured it and the way he measured it were not the same, and I do know that what they charged me more than $60 for DOES NOT FIT. No matter how much you belittle and bully someone.I've gone to Martin Glass for years and have never been treated this way. Time to find a new window and screen repair service.
