Update Aug 2024: I feel loyalty to Jesus Marquez as he's been a neighbor and a friend for more than 5 years. However it seems some things have changed as of late. I don't believe it was absolutely his fault entirely but I believe he had his employee do the work on my car but he did not do it correctly. When I brought it up to Marquez he made it sound like I was coming down on him for a busted lever I found on my floor and all I wanted was to work with him on figuring out what went wrong as I had to come back in for a second time, first time I had to come back in was he forgot to change my air filter on a tune up?? The second time I had to come in is when I noticed he didn't rotate my tires and those were two of the six things I asked to have done when I brought the car in. So I don't know what exactly happened but today he was very short with me and seemed irritated that I would even bring up any of these problems. I really think of him as a friend / colleague and hope this was a one-time thing but I don't know what to do from here unfortunately :-(.
3 + years ago....He was the only shop that would look at a car quickly for me without an appointment. I was selling a car and the person just wanted a mechanics unbiased opinion and he said he would do it and we could come over right then... it was awesome.
So, I had them do some struts on my 1997 Toyota Corolla gold package and it was very reasonable. But this shop is booked up so you have to get in line but it's well worth the wait if there is any. Just honest work for honest costs. So a lot of customers return and his clientele base is getting big. Hence the wait time for bigger jobs. A+ work. A+ shop

Mr Marquez revived my vintage RV for a fair price quite close to his estimate, despite additional problems coming to light during the repair. He diligently sourced hard- to- find parts and kept the vehicle at his lot for over two months while doing so. At the end, for a better price than others had quoted for the primary repair, he had tinkered with or replaced most critical systems in the vehicle and it runs like a dream. The job was frustrating but he saw it through!

I have known Marquez for being a good mechanic with descent prices, but people change. In September 2023, I took my car for both rear wheel bearings change, both calipers, both rotors and all pads. The price was around 1200 dollars. A week ago the rear left wheel was just going crazy with a grinding noise. After checking with him, he kind of ignored me saying that the parts are bad quality without forgetting he was the one who bought and put them on.
Marquez used the grinder on the hubs in order to get the old bearings retainers off. To top it of, when he put the new bearings on he forgot or ignored to secure them with new retainers. The left bearings failed after 6 months and the worst the work was a risk he put me and my family in. I have witnesses of the Mechanic and his employees that have redone the work after him.

After my serpentine belt slipped off, I had my car towed to a different shop near by, but the guy there told me I needed to either pay for ALL his suggested repairs or leave. I left and took my car to Marquez instead and I’m so happy I did!! Dude was super honest about what really needed to get done and what repairs I could wait on. His turnaround was insanely fast and showed me everything he did when he was done. I’ll definitely be back here for future repairs.

Had a double blowout on 39/90. After waiting 2 hours for tow, the only spot open was Marquez Auto Repair. They had me in and out in less than an hour with two tires. Being in a garage like that reminded me of growing up in California and the garages out there. Great guy, great work and won't charge you your first born child lol. Highly recommend using Marquez Auto Repair.

Had a phenomenal experience. My hood lever wasn't popping open the hood and I needed an oil change. Jesus not only fixed this within 24hrs after drop-off, but he also changed my oil and rotated my tires before pick-up that same night. Very welcoming and honest guy. Planning to come straight to Marquez with my next issue =)

All my warning lights on my Prius came on during a road trip and this was the closest place and they helped me really fast and had cute parakeets in the office. He fixed in in an hour but about 20 minutes after I left they came on and I came back but about 5 minutes out my car stopped driving well and he came out in the rain after dark to help me, and even let me drive his car back so he could drive mine. He checked it out and said it should be fine if I drove more than 10 miles without it happening again and I made it 300 to Minneapolis. Still worried and gonna check it out here (pray for me) but the shop was so nice and I’m sure any lingering problems were not the fault of the mechanic, just bad car luck. As a young woman who often travels alone this stuff is extra scary but I felt very safe and cared for here, and genuinely felt like they empathized with my situation and wanted to help. I feel grateful that this was the shop my car decided to break down near.

Excellent service and repair as well as an awesome person! Jesus helped us when our son's car broke on the way home in the middle of the night. Not only did he fix the engine, which now works and sounds like new, but also inspected the car and pointed out the things that were dangerously worn out and needed a replacement. He showed us the items he fixed, then the old parts -- what terrible state they were in. I was really amazed at the thoroughness and quality of his work. I wish his auto shop was close to where I live! To find a solid and reliable mechanic is not an easy thing. I definitely recommend Jesus and his service.Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Be very careful with this shop. They will have you to sign a sells slip without an estimate. They will say the paper you are sign states that you vehicle is in our possession, mean while the will repair your car without your approval, charge you a out standing price, and wite in the so called sales slip whatever they desire, than when you question that you never agreed to service, they hit you with, you sign the slip. In addition to not allowing you to receive your vehicle until you pay WHATEVER the charge. PLEASE, PLEASE BE AWARE
