Several hours ago I bought a bag of foul-smelling chips that were inedible. Noticed the expiration date of 12/07/22 when I arrived home. Today is Sept. 03, 2023. A week ago two squad cars were parked outside of this business. Weeks ago I couldn't buy beer at this sleazy "Madison Pantry" because it was literally under lock and key. I am old enough. Beware this shady establishment.

This review is for Madison Pantry at 2022 Fordem Avenue, Madison WI. On Sept 03 I bought a bag of foul-smelling chips that were inedible. Noticed the expiration date of 12/07/22 when I arrived home. Last week two squad cars were parked outside this business. One month ago I couldn't buy beer at this sleazy "Madison Pantry" because they literally had it under lock and key. I'm old enough. What goes on here? Beware this shady establishment.

Walked into the Open Pantry at 1412 Pflaum Rd. in Madison, WI. on Jan 18, 2023. An employee told me that today a hot dog, bag of chips, and a soda were free. I asked "how come"? She replied that it was part of an MS fundraiser. Question: How is something offered for a donation still "free"? Btw, she also asked me if I wanted to donate a dollar at the checkout when I paid for my $4.19 breakfast sandwich.

My partner was harassed by the clerk and his friends smoking weed outside the door. Then charged extra money and when asking for the receipt was denied by the gentleman running the counter. I would never recommend going here. I felt very unsafe and now have to file forms to the Better Business Bureau seeing as the associate essentially stole from us. I hate giving bad reviews but I was completely astonished that he threatened them charged $30 for a single 12 pack of Twisted Teas.

Overcharges for thier inventory you will pay three or Four times the price for orange juice or anything they think they can getaway with selling often times they go too large discount stores and resell at twice the price

I love this place! Madison Pantry has a wide range of food and drinks for good prices. It's always clean and the owner is such a nice lady! Best part, she has a bunch of tobacco products like cartridges, batteries, loose leaf, swisher sweets, rolling trays...she keeps her store well stocked. Recently they also started stocking CBD products like gummies and flower as well. Make sure you buy some Ben & Jerries or those amazing ice cream snickers bars to go with it :)Come here for your food, beer, wine and liquor, your tobacco...she has it all! Have a look at some of her product lineup below.

Yes, She is a very kind lady. But I've noticed a big change in their products. It's mainly an Adult store. Come on, liquor, blunts, THC, those smoke thingies. That's All I seen in the photos. It seems like someone else is handling which products to sell. The owner has integrity, and I hope they don't take that away from her, in a ruse called profit. Wishing her the best.
