Great for their friendliness and generosity, particularly in regards to maintenance. I've been very impressed on a couple occasions. One such time, someone came in looking for a match to a particular screw and the mechanic simply gave him one and declined when asked what the price would be. I'm sure it was a fully negligible cost to the shop, but saved this person much difficulty in both finding the right one, and purchasing it in a far greater quantity than needed. MR has also been generous to me with installing parts, and in one case threw in an extra piece to fit the rack I had just purchased rather than charging for the addition once we discovered the rack wasn't immediately compatible.

Always a great experience at Machinery Row. Service quality is excellent and staff are always helpful and knowledgable. Ben C in particular helped me navigate a complex warranty claim and was a consummate professional throughout. Been going here for years and will continue to do so.

Great equipment, friendly staff easy to work with. We rented e-bikes for 24 hours and couldn't have been happier with the experience after riding them for two consecutive days. Great location too as far as accessing the riding paths and the Lake Loop.

The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and Friendly. I came in to buy a bike and had lots of questions. They were able to answer all those questions and I learned new things about biking even though I've been riding bikes all my life.

Visited the store to buy a Park Tool (visible at wall behind service counter). My wife and I stood in front of the service desks and were ignored for 5 minutes while 2 employees are behind the desks. Eventually one leaves to chat with a lady friend that arrived. 10 minutes later a woman arrives with a bicycle and eventually is helped by the second employee, while continuing to ignore us. We never moved from our spot right on front and seemed like they were looking right through us. Left after 18 minutes. I understand busy; they were ignoring us.

I just want to share with the owner of this store that Ruby was awesome to work with.
I had called a few days back to see if a bike could be place on hold and she was able to secure it until we could get there.
She was not pushy in the slightest bit and did not look down upon me for getting a mountain bike while not being a serious biker. Unfortunately, I’ve been on the receiving end of that.
You and Ruby should know my husband and I really enjoyed working with her.
Thanks Ruby, you made this experience a lot of fun!

Great mechanics, shite prices. Worked for Yellow Jersey (state st) for years and ten minutes of labor was not $35. A bit of oil, a small adjustment. $35 dollars. I will continue to do my own work at home, never again.

I did a professional bike fitting here. I was very pleased with the service and the value. They spent all the time I needed getting me into the right position, answering all of my questions, but not wasting my time. Chris, the fitter, is clearly a professional.
They have the set up to make all the adjustments needed to your bike in a timely fashion and once completed, the mechanics perform a safety check. The studio is very organized, the view is awesome and it is very clean.
I would definitely recommend to anyone I know, and I would go back in the future if needed.

I was greeted with a warm welcome and the ladies at the front were extremely kind to assist me in my bike rental, with the added repair kit and bike helmet. This place is extremely amazing, and they have a bunch of cool bikes!!!

My left crank came off of my bike while riding the lake loop today. I managed to find all the parts scattered along the bike path and limped over to Machinery Row. I explained that I didn’t have my wallet or any money but did have all of my parts, I just needed to use a couple of Allen wrenches. One of the employees helped me out immediately, even though I could see the shop was busy. He got me going again in a couple of minutes and couldn’t have been nicer. Next time I need parts or service I’ll be going to Machinery Row. Thanks!
