Top notch service, this location is no longer a Hotel, but rather overflow housing for UW students. Great food at the Market on the basement level!

Beautiful Historic Hotel with nice rooms. Very pleasant staff and a big Thank You to Judy. She went out of her way to make sure my friends and I have everything we needed...even some tools to work on a motorcycle. Breakfast was delicious and our server was excellent. They truly deserve more than 5 stars. Can't wait to come back in the fall.

Way nicer on the inside than you'd expect from the outside. Interesting layout; a bit confusing. Pretty decent breakfast with a made-to-order omelet bar (was visiting during the week during a small conference). Nice view of the lake from the deluxe room- worth the few extra dollars in my mind. Comfortable beds, clean environment, friendly staff- what more could you want? On-site parking is cheap enough and very convenient. Didn't use the pool but it seems clean.

A gem in the heart of campus! We found out about the Lowell Center during freshman orientation. When we decided to come to a game, I decided to try the Lowell Center out! So glad we did! The rooms are great. The beds are only doubles but that is manageable (we each took our own...roomy!!). The rooms were very clean and spacious enough. Bathroom has standing shower only. The complimentary breakfast in the ballroom was really good with fresh greens, egg station, fresh fruit salad along with many of the standard hotel breakfast options. Staff was really friendly throughout. Free parking at the Fruno Ramp is about a 10 minite walk. There is limited onsite parking for $10/ night which fills quickly. The price was very reasonable for what you get. We will be back!

We've stayed at the Lowell Center 3 times over the last few years and would highly recommend it. The staff are very helpful and the center is located right in the centre of the city. The rooms are not very large but have everything you need, I was in one of the renovated rooms this year and the mattress was very comfortable and the new decor was lovely. It is great to have the pool and sauna in the building as well as onsite parking (though I'd recommend you pre-book that as it can get busy)

This former dorm is in an excellent location, just a block off State Street and a block from the Union building. We stayed there for two nights on a football weekend. They offer breakfast, but it is just so-so. They have someone to make eggs for you, but there was a 10-15 minute wait. One of the toasters (the one I used) took 10 minutes and the bread was still not toasted. They ran out of coffee once. The room was quiet and eduroam worked fine for wi-fi, but the TV was pretty small. One of my friends in another room had no hot water for a shower. They were told later that they needed to let it run for 20 minutes first. And there was construction noise during the day. I might stay there again if there were no other choices, but for the price it could have been nicer.

When I made my reservation, there was no warning that there would be construction during my stay. The noise from the drilling started at 7:30 in the morning and continued all day. When I was in my room I felt like I was sitting in a dentist's chair. When I tried to switch rooms I got varying responses: the hotel was full; the empty rooms were just as noisy; they were too busy preparing for football weekend to prepare another room for me.

Lowell Center is THE place to stay for those traveling to the university on business, with an ideal location adjacent to campus. It is comfortable and includes a very nice breakfast (eggs cooked to order in addition to the usual hot and cold items). Our room had a fridge and coffeemaker and the lobby has free cookies. The staff is friendly and helpful. As part of the university, eduroam is available and there is also UW guest wifi. If you need parking and want to be right next to the building you should reserve it in advance ($10/night). There is also free parking somewhat farther away. If you are attending a conference with multiple hotel choices and want to stay here, book early - it often sells out fast. On this visit I was attending a conference in another campus building, but on a previous visit I stayed here for a conference held in Lowell Center and the conference facilities were nice.
