Irongate Equine is professional, honest, and empathetic. They care very much about their clients and horses. I’ve had a 10+ year relationship with Irongate and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They’ve helped me with lameness issues, pre-purchases, emergencies, and overall health of my horse. I’m thankful they are my vet and appreciate all of the extra time they spend explaining different procedures, evaluations, etc so I feel I can make the right choice.

When I moved to Madison from Amherst, Wi., my long time, trusted vet recommended Irongate, as he had served on an advisory board with Dr. Nesson. I have been so happy to work with all the vets and staff at Irongate. They have cared for the needs of my old guys and my young mare. I would highly recommend this excellent clinic for their knowledge, compassion and ongoing, cutting edge practice providing everything from routine vaccinations through acupuncture. Dr. Howard and Dr. Lauren have both worked on my horses for the last two years and I couldn't be more pleased with the services they have provided. They have always arrived at the scheduled times and are always professional and friendly. They have become friends, not just just people attending to my horses. They have always been very thorough in their exams and treatments and have given me great advice. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The best. I've been with Irongate docs since before there was an Irongate. Dr Pat, Dr Howard, now Dr Lisa is the primary at my farm. I trust these vets completely. So knowledgeable, realistic, compassionate. They are all true horsemen and animal lovers, and wonderful people in any setting. With some of my horses all the years from conception to letting them go. I cannot thank them enough to being there in so many good times, and a true tragedy or two when I needed a friend as well as one of the best vets in the country, to get thru. Thank you all.
