Was significantly more expensive than i expected for a low cost bike store having a sale. Sold my friend tubeless tires for a non-tubeless frame but passed them off as the right choice

Great experience!! I signed up for a build-a-bike class but when I showed up they didn’t have a frame ready to build that would suit my needs, but they did have a newly tuned up bike that WAS exactly what I was looking for and was a very reasonable $200 and it even came with a front basket already installed. I am very happy with my experience at Freewheel and will recommend to all my friends! The guy working was very helpful and friendly!

We had a great time! Lexi was able to guide us through building a couple of custom bikes from the frame up, in a little under four hours. We'll, one of them was stripped right down to the frame, anyway -- we took some shortcuts on the other one. Anyway, my son and I both rode away on very interesting "new" bikes!

Oh my godFreewheel is the best place ever. The people is so kind and professional. I really recommended Freewheel for your bike. One of the best part is if you to learn about bikes you can fix for yourself.I'm very gladThank you guys for the perfect place.

I highly recommend their evening DIY repair and maintenance classes. Came in with a bike that had trouble shifting, then wouldn't shift at all. They helped me replace the shifter cable and housing and showed me how to fine-tune everything. Now my bike is shifting better than it has in years! They helped with a couple of other repairs and replacements and only charged $25 for the parts, plus I learned a lot. I really appreciate their model of teaching and empowering bike owners, all at an incredibly affordable rate. Keep up the excellent work!

Super affordable friendly and helpful staff. Also great programs for amateur cyclists to learn how to take care of their own bikes. Love coming here!

Formerly Freewheel, now called Madison Bicycle Center. I originally learned about the organization when they were on South Park and we had a couple rides use it as a staging area. I was reminded of them in an ad just after my bike was stolen and I was in need of a new one. Their selection of actual bikes is really dependent on what recent donations they've gotten, and I happened to get lucky when I was looking. If you don't need a bike, they also have a selection of used parts you can dig through if you want to try something out on your bike or even build one (they also have some new parts). Mechanics are very knowledgeable. Haven't had a chance to do any of their classes. A friend who used to live here really liked them as well, and they have a good mission.

Free Wheel is the perfect spot for anyone who is a) on a budget, and b) wants to learn more about bikes. Free Wheel re-uses lots of spare parts for free, making bikes accessible to the community; they also will help you fix your own bikes if you're interested, and run classes for the community.

Freewheel as usual you Rock!! Found me tires that fit. Gave me a discount on one (it was dusty?) Did not make fun of all the stuff I didn't know--- taught me some things.Told me how I could fix the gears on my other bike for so much less than I thought.** always funny greasy boys.
