Overall, I like that this is a very good-looking garden center: it is well-organized and spacious, and the customer service is pretty good. I also appreciate the variety of plants they have available; it’s very diverse. However, the place has a couple of things I personally do not like. First of all, none of the plants are identified, and having them labeled would enhance the overall customer experience, especially since there seems to be a small number of staff members working at a time. My second complaint is about the prices: some plants are more than double the cost compared to other plant stores or even Facebook Marketplace. The third and, I believe, most important issue is the health and condition of the plants. For the price they’re asking, many of the plants are in poor condition, and over the past few months, they’ve had a significant problem with pests. Almost all their houseplants are infested with mealybugs, and even when you don’t see them at the time of purchase, they tend to appear within a couple of days. I understand that this can be difficult to manage, but I’ve noticed that some plants have been there for a long time with mealybugs and are not separated from the others. My options are limited, so I will probably go back to buy some plants occasionally, but I really hope these issues get addressed so we can enjoy the experience of buying plants at a nice place like this. I would still recommend giving them a chance if you’re a new customer, but keep in mind that you’ll need to quarantine your new plants and use some sort of pesticide.

My first visit was very good on July 29 of this year. The store had an assortment of annuals and perennials on display inside the greenhouse and on the outdoor tables, respectively. I found what I was looking for (asters) and was quite satisfied. And the staff were friendly!
My second visit within a week was a bit strange. I became antsy because while I was looking through various perennials, staff were busy throwing away some partially sad looking but still well alive and flowering plants (the two beautiful Black-Eyed Susan jumped out at me). I asked them why and was told those were dying and got to go. But I wondered why the store wouldn’t put up a sign that says “free to take” for these soon-to-be disposed plants.
When I checked out with two false sunflowers and two tickseeds at $14.95 apiece from the same row of perennials that staff appeared to be eager to discard further, I was told, “these are now buy two get one free.” I was momentarily delighted until the cashier looked at the 5th plant I grabbed on my way to the counter, a small mum at $4.95. She said, “Oh, I guess that will be the free one.”
I said nothing because her business acumen spoke volume, not unlike the mind boggling decision of throwing still blooming and decent looking plants into the trash bin.

I received a Mother's Day Bouquet on Friday 5/10/2024. I was rather disappointed in the array. One flower was missing the majority of its petals (which I immediately threw out) and a number of others were dropping or the petals were already getting brown on the edges. This is the 4th day and even though I followed the care instructions I've already had to toss out 3 more stems. Cut flower arrangements are expensive and I guess I expected more from Felly's.
Edit: Felly's did reach out to me offering to resolve my issue which I appreciate . But I'm not looking for any type of compensation. I just wanted to bring my concerns to their attention.

I found Felly's Flowers and Garden Center about 4 years ago, and I have frequented their business since. What draws me to their greenhouse is their selection of plants and a year-round availability of being in a green space. May is one of my favorite months to visit because it's the season where so many flowers are blooming, and it is a great show to walk along the aisles of different plants and flowers. Although I am not a devoted Gardner, my partner loves to raise plants, and their hobby is raising carnivorous plants. About 70% of those carnivorous plants have come from Felly's. Every plant that we have purchased at Felly's has been healthy and have been able to thrive in our home. Carnivorous plants are sensitive and require moss and soil that we typically do not find at big box retailers, but are available at Felly's. I think prices are reasonable and sometimes cheaper than what I expect for well taken care of plants. Lastly, I appreciate the customer service we receive. I find the staff knowledgeable and willing to help. I recommend that you visit whether you are looking to purchase plants or just need some peace among the plants (a great escape during winter). Pictures attached are carnivorous plants that were purchased at Felly's or raised with materials purchased at Felly's.

Picked up a lot of my favorites here... My towering staghorn fern, a beautiful billetiae, and a flowering stapelia to name a few. Even when I'm just getting supplies it's nice to walk to aisles of plants

First time visiting and was very impressed by the wide selection of indoor houseplants and how many there were of each. Prices were fairly reasonable here compared to other nurseries I've visited in the Madison area. Plants overall looked to be happy and healthy. Had an incident but greatly appreciated Adam kindly taking care of the issue without hesitation. Will be buying more plants from Felly's in the future, thank you for the great customer service!
