This branch is toxic and petty. This location doesn't deserve the one-star. I have enjoyed the merger with Heartland, but avoid this branch at all costs. I have yet to leave this location happy with my experience.

They aren’t as authentic as I thought and not as transparent when it comes to. Facts they refuse to fix my account when they made a mistake (zero stars )

Should have known that the merger with Heartland CU would be a disaster. When my auto loan was closed during the conversion, my credit score dropped 20 points. I also need to set up a complicated external transfer to make a loan payment to a different CU...with dccu, I had an easy bill-pay set up. I am planning to pull my business from dccu/HCU as soon as I can.

The lobby hours change often. There drive up will not take checks bigger then $10,000 when you go to the front door she tells you that’s there policy lifts hands in the air and closed door. So I call, Credit unions are supposed to be for the people. This one used to be. I have been a member over 25 years. I have been sitting out front on hold for over 10 minutes waiting to talk to someone on the phone. You can see some employees standing around talking to each other. Im surprised how horrible DCCU/Heartland CU treat there employees and members.

I used to love this location. My partner overdrew her checking account once, and we went in that week to pay the overdraft. Since it was the first time, they even offered to waive the fee. Everything sounded great. Two years later, no letters, no phone calls, it turns out they never processed the payment. Instead, they wrote off and closed her account without telling her. DCCU ruined her credit, took her membership deposit, and made it nearly impossible to get a checking account, all over $80 that we thought we paid. DCCU was supposed to serve disadvantaged members of Dane County. Instead, they destroyed my partner's financial history over an error they made. When we went to the branch in person to deposit a check, they refused to even acknowledge that she had ever been a member; we had to find out the problem through a credit report. Sad to say all the positive interactions we had before were just lip service. At least a traditional bank stabs you in the front.

I've been banking with DCCU for almost 15 years. For the most part, they've been wonderful, helping me with loans, and being just good people, but the last year, something has changed.I've applied for two loans in the past year and was told that I would get a response with 24 to 48 hours. Twice now, I haven't heard anything. Absolutely nothing. Nada. It wild be nice to hear if it's a yes or no, but nothing? Was common courtesy dismissed as a service? Is frustrating and deflating.

Have yet to leave the bank without an error being made. I don’t know what’s worse, the time a teller enclosed bank statements from my child's account which I presented to our mortgage lender, or the time they transferred $4,000.00 of my money into a different members account. Or what about the time they forgot to shut down my debit card when I reported it stolen and charges continued to be applied and they had the nerve to dispute it. Do NOT bank here!

Great service! Long time member. Everyone should use a credit union. Costs are lower. Fees are lower. Rates are always competitive. Great student accounts with parent oversight too.

I was calling to gain information about opening a business account. The representative that answered the phone name was Alyssa . I asked did I need to make an appointment to come in and speak to someone about opening a potential business account. She quickly referred me to try and open it online and that she THINK I can open it online . I then started to ask question about the business account . Ex. What is the cost is their a minimum deposit. How much needs to stay in the account. And she continue to talk about a checking account . So I told her I wanted to be clear your saying that only $5 needs to stay in an account when most business accounts minimum balance is about $1500. She felt the need to raise her voice at me saying it's the same thing . At this point I ended the conversation and let her know that it is not necessary to raise her voice to get her point across. She should make sure that the person understands .Hints: I will NOT be opening a business account there .

I'm so excited I bank with Dane County. They have went above and beyond to help me get my financial portfolio back into good standing. The woman I worked with walked me through my credit report and showed me what I needed to be successful! I couldn't imagine banking anywhere else!

Great until I was furloughed. I took out payment protection and was told I was covered when I got laid off. Then suddenly all these new rules came up and they passed the buck onto Cuna. No disclosures on the website. Nothing like getting screwed when you are down. Thanks Dane County!
