Store needs self checkout machines badly. Understaffed and long lines are common

Not a good place to work they are very short staffed. Training is not great and their only goal is to start your training quickly regardless if you get it or not. Also if you have an illness such as diabetes they can careless if your sugar skyrockets. They ignore the fact they really have no staff and pull employees from different departments to assist customers. I would give this store an F very disorganized and unprofessional.

If I could rate this place lower I would. Solely based off of my terrible experience today w an employee named “Alison” I was checking out with toothpaste and toilet paper, when Alison walked up on me and very aggressively asked “Are you also planning on paying for the toothpaste and other items you have?” No greeting, no question to the cashier to see what I had already checked out with, she went immediately into accusations. Not to mention the fact that the only two items I was checking out with WERE LITERALLY IN THE HANDS OF THE CASHIER. Alison is completely power drunk and needs to be removed from her position immediately before she makes more problems for other customers. I’m sure that I was not the first she has done this to.

Employees are rushing folks to checkout over the PA but there are no checkout lanes staffed?

Pretty great selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.I've never had a problem with this store. I love it. Prices are moderate.

I was waiting for an employee to help at the customer service desk for more than 30 minutes. they said it would be a 5 minute wait because they were waiting on Sarah (the "Customer service representative"). There were several employees that could have assisted but I guess none of them were trained for customer service at all. Sarah came in about 30 minutes later with Starbucks with not a care and taking her time to make her way to the service counter. From what I heard standing in line it's common to be waiting there for a long time. Replace Sarah with someone who will be there on time and train more people

Does not have very many options/items which is understandable due to store capacity (small store) but there is usually 1 or 2 cashiers so a 5 minute stop could turn into a 20 minute stop, wish they would put a self check out or have more cashiers.

6pm on a Monday and the deli is closed? Nothing is covered up so why would I think that. Even though there's someone right there in the bakery, they can't scoop you up some potato salad? What happened to cross training departments? Or maybe find someone who can.

Holy moly this was the longest checkout line I’ve ever seen! It went from the front of the store all the way back to produce, probably 50+ people! I walked right out!

One of the worst grocery stores in Madison. Maybe try treating your employees better and you'd have enough staff so there wouldn't be a line stretching across the entire length of the store to check out.

Can someone please get them self check outs so I don’t have to wait in line for the one cashier on duty! Always like this!

This Pick 'n Save is an example of how lower income neighborhoods are neglected and offered worse resources than other communities. The produce selection is minimal and the grapes are always down to the last few sad bags. The deli is only sporadically open. They do not have the same varied selection of items in the frozen section. There is no "specialty" cheese and meat selection. And lastly, they are often poorly staffed. I hate that I have to go grocery shopping in other areas if I want to leave the grocery store with items on my list instead of settling for what is available. What’s worse is that people who are not able to drive to other parts of the city have no choice but to rely on this store as it is the only grocery store in the immediate area.

If you have an autistic child who thinks the building looks neat, and takes a few pictures of the historical building, you will be kicked out. Not autism friendly. I had to leave without my items, and drove home in tears.
