“I'm so impressed by the food pantry and employees here. I've used it a couple times, and they are organized and friendly. They have options for pre-made meals, pantry items and fresh produce. It's a great resource for the community when people are struggling.”

“I visited with my team to discuss how we can help fundraise/volunteer, and walking into that building was like being transported to another world! I realized I hadn’t seen a children’s book in 20 years and it was so euphoric to see how they’d evolved to be so inclusive and diverse in so many ways. It’s amazing to see an organization that intentionally curates a selection that will inspire children from all walks of life. I am astounded by the energy and passion from every member I met, and I look forward to helping the cause in any ways I can!”
“We adopted two beautiful, adorable kittens named Oliver and June from here. The adoption process went very fast and smoothly. Their foster mom, Bridget, was very sweet and receptive to answering any questions we had; we could really see that these two kittens were well cared for by both Bridget and the organization. Highly recommend.”
“Great place to enjoy a free meal, and the staff is very friendly. Please respect this place. It is one of the last free and open places that anyone can go and enjoy something like this.”
“My recent experience with this store was a very good one. What made this experience so memorable was the interaction I had with Ms. Ellen. Ms. Ellen has a very calm personality which is an excellent skill given the chaos you’ll experience with the management team.In my experience, I felt like I was chasing after answers but no one knows what’s going on. Ms. Ellen on the other hand, looked at the situation, and calmly took control. Many thanks to her and other employees like this.”

“The clubhouse is kept clean and safe. There are 4 large meeting rooms. Plenty of parking spaces. Whole coffee beans are ground each day and coffee is delicious. Soda is also available.”
“The staff is wonderful to work with. I enjoy being a part of a group that strives to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by empowering the mobilization of volunteers and being a generous donor.”
“Great experience!! I signed up for a build-a-bike class but when I showed up they didn’t have a frame ready to build that would suit my needs, but they did have a newly tuned up bike that WAS exactly what I was looking for and was a very reasonable $200 and it even came with a front basket already installed. I am very happy with my experience at Freewheel and will recommend to all my friends! The guy working was very helpful and friendly!”

754 Williamson St, Madison“I recently went here with one of my friends who is losing her vision. The entire staff is super amazing and they have a really cool old building. As my friend had questions about her cell phone, we met with Jim, the computer guy. He was super helpful and has a great sense of humor. My friend was initially really hesitant about coming here. Jim's easy going personality and the comfortable method he used to convey knowledge helped her relax and get the information she needed. I wish everyone was as knowledgeable and caring as Jim was during this appointment. She can now read my text messages thanks to the information Jim provided. The Council also has a great store full of terrific items which can help people who are losing vision. The store guy was Greg and he gave us a tour of all the products and was full of answers when my friend had questions. He even told us about a couple of items they could special order if necessary. Again, he was easy going and conveyed what he knew in a thoughtful and respectful manner. I can't say enough positive things about this organization. They are really good people who have a ton of knowledge to assist people who are losing sight. I highly recommend checking them out if you or someone in your life is in need of their services.”
“I took my daughter to shop at the store. Very clean & organized with nice store employees to help with suggestions.I needed to use the bathroom, so I picked up key with boomerang attached to it.?”

“Christine Seeley from this organization went above and beyond with my last minute reservation of glow in the dark event in Mendota Lake. Great organization with great goals.”
“It is a passionate, non profit organization working to help restore eyesight, eliminating curable blindness, advocating for organ donation, eye and tissue donation. There are volunteering opportunities here. Caring staff.”
“This place helps out people in a transition for housing. It's not the best place in the world of course. But again it helps out a lot of people what a wonderful volunteer staff”
“I've worked here twice - once as a home support worker and once as a supervisor. Every gig has it's ups and downs, but I truly loved my tenure there. The agency deeply cares about the community they serve, and about the staff they employ. I am proud to be associated with them.”

1302 Mendota St, Madison“Went to Oconomowoc store yesterday with my 4 yr old grandson. He has autism and will not wear a mask. They would not let us in the store!!! Goodwills mission is all about helping people with special needs to be out in the community and making their life better, but they turn a child with special needs away that needs to be out amongst other people. He is not sick., always stays in the cart and no threat to anyone. If he touches an item, so does everyone else. The germs are there. What a sad excuse for a company I used to respect. No more!!!”
“I received so much help from the centre when I first moved to the US. Things were already difficult when we first moved with 2 kids and with a baby on the way we could barely make it. It was a good thing not to think about diapers and wipes, not to worry about the shoes the kids grew out of so quickly and all the toys we couldn't afford. Thank you for all the help you provided.”
