“My experience with the enterprise family has been nothing but great , I’m new to the Madison area and have been tired of being turned down by certain Uber drivers to get my kids back and fourth to school, appointments and ect. Then when i realize I’m spending about the same price monthly in Uber I can just go to enterprise and take myself, enterprise reassured me that I definitely can. They always give me great quotes and the workers are always informative and friendly. That speaks a lot to me about their character and that they really enjoy their job. They always take great care of me and my children when we come in so for that I greatly appreciate them and will always be a returning customer”

“This experience was definitely a positive one for me. The service in picking up the truck was great and the truck was in stellar condition - actually brand new. Also, whoever helped me on the phone before the rental for the confirmation worked with me to make sure I had the right sized truck for what we needed. I have rented from Enterprise truck before and, while I cannot say that I haven't had any issues, the customer service has always been great. I recommend them highly over other companies.”

Blake was very good to work with & gave a thorough explanation of the car I was to temporarily use until I was able to purchase a different car. My original car ended up being totaled by the insurance company after being involved in a rear-end collision.”

“Nothing but a great experience renting from this Alamo location! The process was quick and easy; the vehicle was very clean; and the customer service was TOP NOTCH! Each representative was friendly and helpful. In particular, Chai went above and beyond to assist me. I left my personal keys in the rental vehicle after I turned it in. I discovered this in the evening. Time was of the essence because I had an overseas flight from Chicago the next morning. Chai was able to locate the vehicle and retrieve the keys. He was a life saver!!”

“My brother wanted to give us auto detailing on our two cars for Christmas, a very generous and thoughtful gift, and he found Bobby on Google. Bobby did an awesome job getting them all cleaned up and looking fine, one of them looked even better than when we bought it (used from a dealer)! He picked them up from our home and delivered them. He really took the time to do an excellent job, didn’t miss a detail, and he’s so personable and friendly too! Thanks Bobby!”

“I don't own a vehicle but one weekend a month I rent a car to run errands and I always choose this location. There has been issues just about every visit. This last time for example my reservation was cancelled. I didn't cancel it so I don't know why it happened but I was able to make another reservation for the same price so it was fine. Other times what I was charged didn't match what my confirmation said it would be and I've gotten a car that was almost on empty. The reason I still rent here is Korinthia. She is always the one working when I rent and she is very kind and always has a smile on her face. She reassures that any issue will be fixed and if it can't be fixed at check-in, she always resolves the issue the day after I drop the car back off. Any monetary discrepancy I have she tells me will be fixed after drop off, and it always is! Never questions any issues I've told her about, instead she takes care of it and it is much appreciated. My one critique is there really needs to be a manger available until closing time. Because of my job, I always rent on fridays at 515pm-ish. They are open til 5:30 but a manager isn't available after 5pm. I think many of the problems that I've had could be solved faster or at pickup if there was a manger at least available by phone until they actually close.”

“Great service but make sure you have their Fastbreak service. We were given a Kia K5 and it did not fit us very well. Myself, 6’3”, my wife 5’9”. We felt overly tall in the seats with both all the way back. I won’t except that car again”

“I flew from San Antonio to Madison with a layover in Dallas. My flight to Dallas was delayed two hours causing me to miss my connecting flight in Dallas. As a result, I didn't arrive in MSN until 11 pm. I had already reserved a car with Hertz, but I was informed that they had closed 4 hours before then. Thank God Avis was open and rented me a car. Your staff was very helpful and friendly. They had me in a car in a matter of minutes and enroute to my destination. Thank you!”

“I think a lot of the issues that people have with Budget are not the fault of this location. The corporate phone numbers and support are worthless, but again, that's not the fault of the people at this location.I was originally charged an extra day for my rental and after calling the corporate customer support number four different times, I found that they were all helpless. So, I called this location (where I dropped my truck off) and the kind person who answered solved my problem within five minutes.Would've been five stars if I wasn't charged the extra day, but they were very helpful in getting the issue resolved quickly, so 4/5.”

“I first signed up for a Zipcar membership in Madison, WI, and generally had very positive experiences there. When I moved to Boston and had a look at all these reviews I was kind of dreading the occasions when I would really *need* to rent one. I just figured, well, in a major city things are bound to be more chaotic. But I've rented 3x now with them and I was very happy with all of my experiences. I did have to contact customer service for each rental to deal with some issues (e.g., locked gate for returning the car, previous renter very late), but I got through very quickly to someone, and each of the people I spoke with was super helpful and very friendly. *However*. . . it's important to go into this with sensible expectations and to be prepared to change things up if needed. For my most recent rental, the person who had the car before me was stuck in traffic and eventually we had to switch to another car--not the company's fault, that just happens. For my trouble, I was offered a significant discount, which I appreciated, mostly because it allowed me to take care of a lot more errands by having the car for longer. In terms of renting strategically, you can do the following: (1) try to rent a vehicle that's in a less busy neighborhood, less usage on the car; (2) check out the vehicle in person beforehand to see if it's pretty beat up and more likely to present problems--also to figure out where the car is parked, which is not always easy to figure out; (3) try to choose a vehicle that does not have a lot of rental time before or after to avoid being delayed and to allow you to extend time if needed. To be honest, if I had someplace important to be (wedding, business meeting), I would either not rent a Zipcar, or have a back-up plan. Customer service: it's quite possible you may end up speaking with someone who is not in the U.S., not shocking that they're outsourcing. But the people I spoke with had perfectly good English, and I found them very pleasant. You would think from reading this whole string of reviews that literally everyone who rents a Zipcar has some kind of nightmarish experience. I'm going to guess that anyone who has a terrible experience is much more likely to post here?”
