this is a really special and lovely shop.the owners are always there and have interesting kind chats with the customers and almost everything is from africa as the owners are south african.if you are wanting to find something unique and beautiful like a gorgeous dish or textile or funky piece of jewelry this is the spot. calabash is the kind of store that gives a street like monroe, which is increasingly overrun with uninspired fitness places and lame restaurants, a real feeling of heart and community and happiness. love it

Go here! The place is quaint and the owner is WONDERFUL! This was our fist time in here. The gentleman took my seven year old around to help him pick out gifts and told him stories about their items. We need to keep local shops like this alive. He was so thankful we bought from him, we will be going back for sure.

Wonderful place to find beautiful artwork. The owners are welcoming and knowledgeable about every piece in their collection. The store has three rooms that you and your puppy can look through. Plus, they love to talk about all the wonderful things to do in Madison! A must for all those visiting and new to the city.
