This is the service my dad enjoyed back in the 60's when he always bought from Marling. No wonder they've been in business since forever. I will always stick with Marling over big box. The value for the money can't be beat. PS. Paul is no relation to me unless you back more than 6 generations.”
“Everyone needs the HD in their town at some point. Some people have actually never ventured into such an establishment, yes, it's true! I can't actually imagine myself not ever needing such a place, at least not since reaching adulthood, but still, there exists such persons. To the uninitiated, it might be a bit frightening, but in truth it's not unlike a grocery store, aside from the limited food stuffs. Soda or coffee are available, and even a pretty commendable hot dog or brat can be purchased at most locations. Bravo! Today I even bought myself a decent Christmas (holiday to the far lefties, or similarly offended) tree to adorn my previous wife's (previously ours) home! Selection wasn't great, but the prices were! I scored a nice 7' tree for her house and it only set me back about $60. Considerably less than last year or the previous years reaching back a considerable time. Normally I only get electrical supplies or home care items, but today I changed up my routine when I arrived to return the unneeded item I drove here for in the first place. Which was what reminded me that the returns desk personnel are in no rush to move you along with your daily tasks. Some of the staff are very qualified to assist you in your needs, though I find that most are as helpful as a ring camera when your Amazon package is stolen. No one cares. But at least such a place is available, because regardless of my snarky comments, I still like this place far better than the nearest competitor.”
