“I've been to this bookstore a few times but went back a couple of weeks ago for an author talk when a couple of friends from the Madison area published a book. Though it's a small space, MTM made a cozy nook work for the 25 or so guests. I love local book stores and try to do everything I can to avoid buying online and patronize places like this. “Cute, small cafe with something for everyone. Counter service with seating for coffee, espresso drinks, cocktails, and NA beverages. They serve all the basics but have some creative drink options if you’re in the mood to try something different.
The interior is definitely a vibe. I could picture the Lofi music girl setting up here and listening to some beats to relax/study to. The attached bookstore at the front has books organized by geographical location, which is something I haven’t seen before.”

“It's huge. I only went to the first floor, but I think there are four. It's also kinda icky, like sweaty, plus you have to touch a whole bunch of door handles. There's a coffee shop in the icky stairwell if you want to get the plague. The workers are nice and helpful. I hope they don't get the plague from the icky door handles. I'll attach a picture of my dog instead of the shop.”

“I don't usually write reviews, but I was so impressed with Evening Star Books that I wanted to share my experience for anyone concerned about the condition of the books when mailed. I recieved my order in a box, with the excess spaced filled with shipping paper and the book wrapped in bubble wrap. That is the way you ship a book and protect it. I have ofter recieved books from other dealers (and Amazon) with the book shipped in parcel bag and nothing else. I look forward to ordering more from Evening Star Books.”
“Little bookstore within the library that sells library surplus books and CDs at very low prices. The selection is odd, you never know what you will find here. Because of the low prices it's hard to walk out of here empty handed.”
“The location in Rockford Illinois closed, but I was so excited to see they had one in Madison. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I will be making the trip up here for more items!!”
“This store is clean and has a good selection, but some uw merchandise is only sold at their location on State St. It is much smaller in size so, it does have a smaller selection but they still sell many different types of high-quality uw apparel for all ages, art supplies, and gifts. The bookstore staff are helpful and patient.”

“Hello people, I and my Kids can't stop going to this store' they have very good quality toys and prices are very fair' store is very clean, inside smells better than the malls halls, everything is organized well, the guy works in the cashier(colorful eyes) I think his name is Anicam I am not 100 percent sure I asked him once his name, very professional and polite guy, one time toy wasnt good condition we wanted to exchange, he never hesitated, helped us out Right away, I tell everybody around me to come check this store out, I am very satisfied with the goods and services :)”
“The bookstore might be one of the best things about the campus. They have a lot of helpful supplies, and the bookstore oftentimes has rental programs that save you tons and tons of money per semester. They're great.”
