A nice old theater with a lot of character. Though they have an old elevator, there is unfortunately no solution for the steps to seats for those who are disabled.

If you have handicap needs, they can accommodate you with a ( 1 person + operator) lift to get to the front row which has both wheelchair spots and companion seats.The nearest parking ramps are a block away on a hill, and while there are technically spaces in front, you're not likely to snag one.You CAN be dropped off in front of the building.They have beer and wine, as well as a simple snack bar to purchase candy/chips from.A lot of the staff are volunteers, so it's a bit chaotic, and since the lift is old and slow, get there 15 -30 minutes early because a lot of patrons use it.It's a lovely space to experience local theater and offbeat touring attractions like the Acrocats Cat Circus.

Right off Capitol Square on E Mifflin St is The Bartell Theatre. It's just the right size for very enjoyable Gilbert & Sullivan performances and the chairs in the theater are nicely sized and very comfortable.

A very cute local theater. Friendly staff. 10/10. The front desk lady was also the concession lady and turned around in her chair to get to the other counter like a video game and I'll think about her every time I go and get concessions at a theater.

Saw The Pirates of Penzance. The cast, costuming, and music were most excellent. A wonderful time was had by all!

I saw Hedwig and the Angry Inch (3/18/2023)! It was a beautiful experience and I will treasure the memory forever. Kai Prins made for an incredible Hedwig and I cannot imagine the character played any other way now. Elise Bargman as Yitzhak has a wonderful singing voice and stage presence. The band was on point, the crew ran a tight show, and the front of house staff was welcoming and kind! All together a 10 out of 10 experience. I will be going back for future StageQ productions!
