Dogs pen in the middle needs to be cleaned more. It's always full of p*** and stinky. Some of the fish also look like they could use some help healthwise. Otherwise, good products just watch their pricing. Tends to be higher than other stores.

A few months ago, this store had an AMAZING betta care sheet that included everything that they needed to thrive.Unfortunately, that sign has been replaced with a less-than-great sign that leaves out a few things in order for them to lead a happy life. Surviving is NOT thriving, and bettas deserve so much better lives than what they’re given. Bring back the old sign!Aside from that however, this place is one of the better pet stores in the area for aquatic animals animals.

I contacted them via their website about an issue during a visit that I had, but they haven’t responded. We were there a few days ago around 12:30 pm and noticed that none of the dogs had water in their bowls. The bigger dog was whimpering and attempting to pull an empty water bowl underneath the pen bars. When I told 3 different employees to get them water, I was met with a somewhat indifferent and blank expression. Before I left, and before they were given water I observed a puppy licking a sparkling clean but empty water bowl. Maybe the employees didn’t want to clean up any puppy pee, so they thought no water was the answer? They did have litter boxes set up in the pens, but there were not enough litter pellet to actually soak up any urine. Maybe trying to save a buck? Maybe lack of training? Very disturbing that this pet store seems to put profit over puppy health. Again, I’m only posting because they didn’t call to address my concerns offline.

The customer service here is so sweet!! This is where I adopted my four year-old female tabby named Lily. Along with having every pet supply we needed, there are many complimentary experiences among entering the store: a cute puppy/dog pen, many kinds of birds, free popcorn, & sample treat plates for your pet :)

Don’t buy puppies from stores or shelters . The majority of the puppies come from auctions down south. These auctions keep mills in business. We are regulated in our state . You want to make a difference give an adult dog a home .

I’ve been stopping into this store for years now and I’ve never seen the bird dept so dirty and uncared for! Super sad!

Went to observe the puppies and observed them for awhile... there was a little black and white pomeranian that was getting attacked relentlessly by one of the other puppies. When I brought this to their attention they seemed uninterested and nonchalant about it. This behavior causes puppies to develop dog aggression later in life. I then asked how much he was and was told that $1800 for this puppy... no different than what a puppy mill would do. Horrible knowledge about the animals they have in their stead....

We’ve been coming here for about a year now and honestly it’s a bit of a headache every time. I don’t think any training is done for register because we have to remind whoever is behind the counter about products in Astro every single time we go in. My husband and I have both worked previously in pet stores with similar set ups and the fact that purchases don’t automatically ring up in the rewards program is strange and tells me that it probably hasn’t been set up correctly. Tonight we didn’t get our dog’s bag of food recognized in Astro even after having to point to the screen and tell the girl behind the counter that that was the bag of food. She tried scanning the bag once and when it didn’t work she just did nothing. This is the second time where a purchase didn’t get rung up in Astro and the employee did nothing about it. It’s gotten to a point where it’s honestly not worth the hassle going here anymore.

We were there for my grandson's birthday party. It was held in a separate room that was nicely decorated. Part of the total experience was a guided tour of the pet store. The tour included opportunities the spend time with and handling a number of different animals including snakes, geckos and kittens.

Pet store was clean, well stocked and organized. Prices were competitive. The highest ratings go to the vet department. We have two dogs and the Animart Vet clinic has taken great care of them since they were puppies. The Vet staff is very helpful, professional and our dogs have benefited greatly from Animart's care. They definitely are our "go to" Vet in Madison.

I live on the other end of the city, but I still make my way over when I need things for my pets. They have a good selection of supplies for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and small furry critters. As a UW Vet Med student, I was also able to go there as part of a small group for an elective class to practice essential handling skills on small mammals. Their animals appear well kept and the staff have always been friendly and helpful.

This store has been here for over 16 years and will always hold a special place in my heart, it is where we found our family dog a long time ago, he was healthy his whole life and past away at the ripe old age of 15. We always got our supplies here when living on the east side. I still go in sometimes to make a small donation or buy something. Glad to see the staff are still friendly and the overall vibe of the store hasn't changed.

This is our go-to store for pet supplies, nail trimmings, etc. The employees are friendly, and our pets always feel welcome. The selection is generally excellent, and if you're looking to get started with a small pet or an exotic pet , they have everything you need to get started (they also have puppies and kittens, and we got our dog here, but most decent sized pet shops have these).

Friendly and hard working staff. Be patient at times with the new staff, there is just so many animals to care for, clean after and give the best care. In a way I believe Animart values animals over people and you know this is a good place.
