I have been donating plasma for a couple years. Recently, my appointments have been getting cancelled. This was inconvenient for me as I drive about 45 minutes each way but I understand they are having issues retaining people. I went in yesterday and they would not let my daughter sit with me for the health screening questions. I understand and respect the policy to initiate confidentiality, but not allowing a minor to accompany their parent (after parent waives confidentiality) is overkill to me. I plan to continue donating plasma, just not with the Red Cross anymore.

Team always makes sure that you're comfortable and content. For platelet donation, there are Netflix movies to keep you entertained.

If I could go less than one I would. I worked here and most of the people are good. But the trainers suck and lie. And after they fired me "so I could stay home and concentrate on my health" which by the way is not legal. You can't fire someone because of health reasons. Especially if it wasn't affecting their work and they always scheduled doctor appointments on days off. I knew it was b******** One of the trainers through a fit with me in front of a donor. And after I proved to her she was wrong and the donor even agreed with me she went straight to Gabe and was bitching about me and obviously telling him some b******* story. So if I was you I'd find a place that pays you for your blood. There lots of places out there to do so.

I had a great experience donating blood at this Red Cross! The staff were so kind and conversational, the post-blood donation snacks were great, and the facility was really clean and spacious. I was really grateful for their long hours too - it was really easy to get an evening appointment so I could donate blood without interrupting my work schedule. I will absolutely donate here again!
