“Loved dropping by this place for a drink! Trying to find a table was a bit challenging as there was no set tables and you could walk around the first level. But a nice a place to grab a drink!”
“Stayed here while I attended a wedding nearby. The hotel is nice, gym is what you would expect, good breakfast room and friendly staff. Lots of stores nearby (actually within walking distance), close to the highway which was good as I had to drive around the area a great deal.
The only issues I had:
- The shower dripped after it was turned off and they have one of those metal plates underneath it so ended up closing the door at night to not hear it.
- The room temp controls didn't work right. I leave the unit fan on low all night just to block out noise. It functioned like it was in auto mode in that it cycled on and off.
These were not a big deal, the bed was comfortable and desk worked fine for me.”
“I must give HUGE KUDOS to the housekeeping staff and Laken at the front desk. THEY FOUND MY 1000. Cash along With drivers license, AMEX platinum, debit card in the dryer of the laundry room. It was a busy Wedding weekend arrival day. It got wrapped up in the comforter I gather. We didn’t report it because nowadays, why even try. But a surprise phone call came from Laken at the front desk. Yes I tipped them well. Thank you Geneva Inn. We will be back.”
“Authentic speakeasy where you need a password to get into that's located below the Maxwell. We came on a Friday night and it got very busy right when it opened at 9p, so plan to come then or later as most people just had one drink then left.
It was nice to get a good cocktail and explore the small space, worth checking out if you are in the area.”
“Very clean and nicely decorated rooms; a very well cared for hotel. It’s out of town a bit which helps reduce the price. Still very easy to drive to town or the lake. We needed a new iron and they provided one right away.”

“We stayed in the courtyard room and had a lovely time. The room is unique and cozy and having a private entrance made it feel extra sweet! The inn was very quiet during Memorial Day weekend which was a welcome surprise for us. Being so close to the water and short walking distance from everything downtown, the price for our stay felt like a steal. Gary, the host, is extremely friendly and had a lot of great recommendations. Thank you for preserving such a wonderful historical building! We will be back!”

“The French Country Inn was an amazing place with a very interesting history. The room we had and a deluxe king size bed and top of the line shower. We really enjoyed the fireplace which made the room so warm and cozy. The on-site restaurant with a really really nice bar served breakfast as well as dinners. The breakfast were absolutely quality. The dinners had a great variety both for seafood steaks as well as pasta. The staff was more than friendly and very accommodating. I can't wait to go back!”
“They have upgraded this hotel! We were here last year & they really improved the ambiance. Our room had many conveniences. Microwave, fridge etc. Staff was friendly and helpful everything was clean well stocked. My only complaint is the bed was lumpy. But the view of the lake was amazing. We will stay here again.”

“We booked a two-night stay for Thanksgiving. When a winter storm warning for 8-10 inches of snow was posted, we decided to play it safe and cut our time short, calling at 9 am the second day. They were accommodating and gave us a full refund for our second night, a very nice gesture. We will be back!”

“We took advantage of excused absence and i am glad that it was almost empty. It’s definitely good for young kids but I do not recommend for older. I loved the room size, it was perfect for family of 3. Bathroom was spacious and the whirlpool bathtub was inside. Didn’t get to use kitchen and I remember the sink was kinda nasty. Loved the balcony that I got to see horses. Moving on to entertainment, it was underwhelming bc arcade and bowling area were so small. Also the water park was small as well but it was nice to have all included. Seems like it’s running pretty good and had no problems with anything. Late check out is extra fee if you want to stay longer. Target is not too far if you need anything and fast food options”
“We enjoyed our stay very much. They let us check in early, staff were friendly & courteous. Our room was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and we really enjoyed the pool & Jacuzzi. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable! We appreciate you. All day coffee & lemon water in the lobby is a really nice touch.”

“It was our first time staying at the cove over Labor Day weekend! It was legit! They were able to accommodate a slightly early check in, which was nice. The staff was friendly and on top of their game. The restaurant attached to the hotel was really good!!!
The pools were super nice, clean. Could use a few updates but it was good overall.
The room was nice, we had the anchor style room and requested a king. Needs some updates but it was clean and the air flow was fine.... I saw some reviews about dirty rooms and poor air flow but we had no issues!
Kid friendly! I would def stay here again.”
“I have a friend staying for a few weeks. The Chateau Royale turned out to be perfect for what was needed and my friend has been safe while there. It seems like the owner continues to work on renovations. It is definitely worth checking out.”
