If I could rate this establishment zero stars I would’ve. I used Jeannie Walter as my tax pro for my 2023 taxes. When I filed my taxes with her, she was not upfront about the amount I was going to have to pay for her to do my taxes incorrectly. She charged me initially $340 to do my taxes and they were done incorrectly. As soon as I noticed that they were filed incorrectly, she advised me I need to double check my work, while I had hired a tax professional to do this for me, and send her the updated forms. She did not review my taxes correctly and filed my taxes with double the income I was making.
In order for her to update and make an amendment to my taxes, she then charged me $145, which then again, she was not upfront about. I had asked her multiple questions about multiple different issues in which she did not respond in the H&R messaging center. I even had to call her to get a hold of her. Due to this, my refunds have been delayed and I did most of the leg work with calling the IRS to cancel the incorrect amount that I owed. I would not recommend Jeannie, she handled this very unprofessionally and the fact that she charged an additional $145 to amend the mistake that she made is unacceptable. She charged me a total of $480 to do my taxes. That is absolutely ridiculous and I would not recommend this establishment.”
