Staff is extremely rude. I had been going to the gym daily for the past couple months, I walked in and they said They went through and terminated inactive accounts the night before. My account was charged 3 days before they terminated my account. After charging me for that month the employee told me i had to pay them another $70, claimed that i had to pay for February and march which had already been paid months ago, said another $20 of that was a fee because I turned 19 years old. showed them my statement, said I would still have to pay and that IT would verify my February and March payments and refund me for the $50 they were demanding that day Still said i had to pay the age fee. The guy wanted to take a picture of my statement to verify it with IT. Extremely sketchy situation would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Jane the gymnastics coach is absolutely incredible with not only my kid but all these children as a whole. She is so patient and kind, and you can tell she loves the children in her care. She goes above and beyond to make sure that each and every child has all the knowledge to succeed.. HIGHLY recommend your kiddos to join gymnastics under her, my daughter adores her and asks daily when is gymnastics class. I know she would take daily classes by her if it we're offered. Thanks Jane for all that you do! :)

Pay people a better wage so you have more than 1 person up front! I wanted to let my little toddlers in the kid zone and she was unable to help me, after 15 minutes of kids screaming I left, and on my way out she informed me it was open! Who does that. How long did u wait to tell me. My kids can't understand. I saw you flag someone else down but you could wave or make eye contact with me as a human being to tell me it was open now? I'll never go back so if that was your intent you're welcome. If you are speaking to someone make sure they heard you. Otherwise you are just taking more time away from yourself when you don't effectively communicate.

Unprofessional Worker
Came in 5/19/24 around 2-2:30pm on a Sunday & needed a guest pass for a non member so we proceeded to talk to a African American male employee at the front desk about a getting a guest pass, instantly was met with a “bothered” & “Condescending” verbiage & asked him a simply question “Hey since it’s 2:30 is the day pass cheaper? Since we been here before & they charged us half when it was later during the day” he responded “that has never been a thing” & the way he was talking to us didn’t seem very professional & he seemed bothered by us even talking to him, especially since I’ve been attending this Facility daily & when I have only had very great customer service from all the employees here at this YMCA until this interaction.

Place has both gone up and down hill simultaneously. The male staff have consistently made me feel creeped out and make me feel unwelcome. It’s a beautiful facility and seemingly continues to improve but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re a girl or don’t like aggressive Andrew Tate “manosphere” vibes. Lol. Front desk staff also unprofessional and rude to two sweet children checking in (man in green shirt, 03/29).

I’ve been a member of the Dahl Family YMCA for a while now and I’m genuinely impressed with the facilities and services they offer. The highlight for me has always been the pool. It’s well-maintained and provides a great environment for both serious swimmers and those looking for a relaxing dip.
I did have an isolated negative incident in the pool area, but I must commend the management for their swift and effective resolution. It’s reassuring to see a team that values member experience so highly.
The gym area has seen significant improvements lately. The quality of machines is top-notch, contributing to a productive workout every time I visit. Additionally, the 24/7 accessibility is an amazing feature, accommodating all schedules and lifestyles.
There are minor issues, such as the occasional misidentification upon entry, but these are minor and don’t detract from the overall positive experience.
However, my one grievance is with the cleanliness of the basketball court. It tends to be too dusty, posing a slipping hazard that could potentially lead to injuries. Regular cleaning and maintenance of the court would greatly enhance safety and enjoyment for everyone who uses it.
Overall, the Dahl Family YMCA is a fantastic facility that I would definitely recommend. It’s a place where you can feel part of a community while enjoying excellent amenities.

Awesome facility with shared whirlpool, sauna and steam room! Lap swimming, kids area and fitness machines, nice touches like filtered water in the locker rooms! Makes so much sense, nice design and beauty full faculty.

I am fairly new to the La Crosse YMCA and have enjoyed the customer service received. Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex at the front desk and he provided me with a bunch of information about the programs the YMCA provides for kids. He was extremely helpful and respectful.

In the Child watch, the employees never stop texting. Good employees are replaced with drunk college girls to keep costs down and NONE of them have any care for your child. I’ve seen babies as old as 2 weeks go in there and have never left car seats, hidden away in a corner and forgotten about. Employees constantly talk about drugs and alcohol in front of the children. Kidzone had one good employee but he said he will not be returning due to the incompetent working conditions

Dahl Family YMCA is an excellent gym in the La Crosse area. While it could be bigger and the front staff could be more friendly, the price, amenities, and cleanliness is top notch. This is an excellent value for the membership fees. There are so many classes and they are included in the membership. Overall, this is an excellent place for all members of the community, young and old. Highly recommend.

We are out-of-town YMCA members that wanted to use the facility. The women at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. One even gave us a breakfast recommendation and a coupon to go along with it! Everything is very clean and the locker rooms are awesome. I highly recommend this YMCA.

Felt very unsafe around the members and the overall atmosphere of the fitness center. The members are mostly college age boys with very "Andrew Tate" vibes. Don't recommend going here if you are a woman or lgbtq+. The male members made me uncomfortable, couldn't even finish my workout before immediately leaving and going to the RW YMCA in Onalaska. The rest of the building is very nice though.
