I spent good money in the spring to have the valve cover gasket replaced on my Cub Cadet tractor and to fix an issue with the blades not engaging. I picked it up and took it home only to find out I couldn’t mow the lawn because the blades still wouldn’t engage. They picked it up and dropped off when they were done. This week, smoke was emitting from the valve cover so I took a look to find two valve cover bolts not completely seated. I called them again and asked them to pick it up and fix what they had already worked on. There was no communication from them as to what the issue was or when I would get my tractor back. I was the one always calling for updates about what the fix was and when I’d get it back. I’ll never take my stuff to them and will make sure my friends and family never take their stuff there for service. Shoddy repair work!
This is in response to their response. Yes I appreciate your quick turnaround on my most recent issue but I think the ordinary customer would expect that of a business. When a repair fails you hold the business accountable and I would think said business would stand behind their work. I was told by your service manager today that the valve cover bolts probably weren’t cleaned well enough four months ago when the repair took place. Because of that, the thread sealer for the cover bolts failed and they worked loose over that period of time. Don’t think for a minute you did me any favors. The repair for your failed repair and the quick turnaround is what I would expect from any service department.

I have an older riding mower that needed a deck belt but I was having difficulty finding the correct one at places like Lowe’s, Ace, True Value, etc. It was suggested to me to try Joe’s Power Center. After talking to their service people, I was sold one that cost me $60. I followed the instructions to replace the belt and tested it. Within a couple minutes it shredded. I went back that day and explained what happened. They said because of the age of my mower they weren’t going to offer a replacement belt nor refund any money because they didn’t know if the pulleys and spindles were in proper working order. I was obviously disappointed but didn’t raise a fuss. I kept searching and found the correct size belt in some random aisle at Fleet Farm for $15 and it works great.

So after some discussion with Joseph at Joe's I'm redoing my review. Some lines did get crossed and some equipment did fail but not to anyone's fault. Joe's reached out to me to address my concerns and resolved them with above satisfactory resolution. I will be back again for rentals and service and do my best to continue supporting local small business. Thanks again everyone at Joe's.
