I love the activities at the Kimberly YMCA. However this parking lot is an absolute disaster and very dangerous. There is only one way in and out and frequently it is a 20 minute wait just to exit the lot. There are little ones running all over the parking lot and poor visibility. I am shocked someone hasn't been hurt already. We will not be using the YMCA due to this issue.

By far, the best YMCA in the Fox Valley.Staff are welcoming and friendly, felt safe, and the kids love this place.

Been a fan of the YMCA since my youth. Active with it through my adult life. Great programs they offer. From youth to elderly. This YMCA has just a smaller pool. Used more for swimming lessons open swimming, and silver sneakers members.Tons of programs for our youth. They don't discriminate. Just here to help people and set goals. Kids summer programs are just starting. Sign them up. Good way to keep them busy and involved in the communities. Get them out of the house. Children are watched and get graded for there performance. Highly recommend the YMCA. So much more than just a health club. Make you feel welcomed. They also offer scholarships for families that can't afford the membership. Again I highly recommend the YMCA. Was just there today. Also very clean YMCA. Fairly new building. It is off CE exit. Turn on Railroad to get to it. Turn right at the round about. First right will be the driveway after the apartments. Huge parking lot.

The Heart of the Valley YMCA has disappointed me in the last year several times. We have been signed up for classes that were canceled, including my daughter's 3K program. This is a program that you need to register for in March for the upcoming fall, and then we were told about 2 weeks before its start they were canceling it. There are absolutely no other options available, the YMCA has put us in a serious bind for childcare because they decided to cancel this class rather than open it up for enrollment or find another solution to keep it open for the families that depended on it. I've reach out to leadership with my disappointments only to be ignored or responded to in a very "political" manner with no interest in budging or supporting members. I have been a lifelong YMCA member and an very disappointed.

The life guards at the pool are completely obnoxious... I was there with my 3 kids for about an hour and I was scolded no less then a dozen and half times about rule infractions by every single lifeguard there...it was a joke..my kids didn't want to stay because they were worried they were going to get yelled at for playing wrong...It got to the point I just ignored the guards cause they were constantly on us like hawks! Never going to this Y pool again! My kids aren't going to drown in 3 ft of water when I'm literally right in the water with them... just a horrible obnoxious experience I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone !

Our family has been loyal members of the YMCA for over 15 years. Great experience up until the past year at Heart of the Y. Their executive director is top notch, but I can't think of a staff that could be anymore rude and disrespectful than the current one that they have. The weight room and wellness center has turned into a glorified daycare for 13-, 14- and 15-year-old kids who are not being supervised. When trying to get staff to properly monitor the situation they have become rude and combative. The wellness center is not being properly staffed to address these issues. There are too busy either getting a workout in themselves or in the back room on a computer or on their phones. Colleen, the previous wellness coordinator was terrific. She was constantly walking throughout the center making sure that things were being properly monitored and there were never any issues. Just cancelled our family membership, not worth the $74 a month for such blatant disregard to members concerns.

I came over yesterday to register for a lap and also because I somehow had managed to mess up my on-line access. The two people at the desk area were SO VERY helpful getting me back in the system. I was very impressed with their knowledge but also their willingness to help!

I went in today as a service connected veteran and they denied the discount only a waiver for the joining fee shows how much this company cares about our disabled vets. Will be seeking anymore elsewhere.

Rude lifeguards. Misrepresent hours online. Definitely call before going because who knows. Selective enforcement of mask rules. Went there w my 2 kids for weeks. Suddenly wouldn't allow my kids in one day for no masks. Never had masks in the weeks prior, nor where there any signs, nobody ever mentioned this was a rule for weeks. Not to mention they same lady was allowing a dozen kids directly behind her to not wear them. Drove 30 mins to meet wife there to work out at 530pm. Online says daycare open until 7, nope closed. Tried to take kids swimming. My kids can swim well, can stand in their pool too. They weren't allowed to swim more than 5 ft from me or lifeguards would throw a fit. Keep in mind only 2 kids in pool. 3 lifeguards watching over them. I was much closer to the kids than any of the lifeguards and paying attention. Not sure what their job is if its not to respond to situations. Basically, worst gym I've ever been to. Thought mayb staff was singling me out but after reading other reviews, appears its par for the course at this dump.

I took swimming lessons here for a long time. The teachers were great, especially the ones who helped me learn of my love for swimming at such a young age. They get 5/5 from me.The management could be a little better, considering they are also in charge of after cares for several area schools. Their lack of trust in their employees and respect for their time is why I'm only giving this a 3/5. It's an okay place to work... if you don't mind minimum wage and pushiness to help their annual campaign. I quit, and I still got a notice saying that I got a certain amount withdrawn from my paycheck... Even though I wasn't working there anymore! Their HR people could learn a thing or two about organization too. However, it's not all bad. The environment there is fun, they have a lot of options for classes, exercise, and fitness. Their fitness center is my favorite local place because they have a variety of equipment to use and helpful staff that they have there all the time.Overall, it's a decent place as long as you're not working there...
