The therapist we worked with here was great but billing is a complete nightmare. About 8 months after my son graduated from therapy we received a bill for $975 after we believed everything was completely paid. Prior to scheduling appointments we waited for the company to call our insurance to get pre-authorization for visits. After 2-3 weeks of waiting we were told we were authorized for visits on our insurance and would not need any other pre-authorization. So we continued with treatment trusting we got the correct information on our insurance since we have never had an issue before. Not once while seeking treatment did anyone tell us the bills were being denied. So we thought we were paid up and would not have an issue. Upon receiving the bill I immediately called MSS and explained the situation. They told me the denial code was for non-coverage of treatment, which was not accurate since we were having treatment covered. When I called my insurance company the denial code is for pre-authorization. The billing company at that time advised me they called for pre-authorization, but did not have a reference number from the company which is normally provided. The only information they had for pre-authorization was a note with a date and time saying the call was disconnected. I explained what was said by the insurance company to the billing department and even did a 3-way call with billing and my insurance. After hearing my insurance say it is not patient responsibility the billing department wanted us to do a 3-way call with their provider line. I spent hours on the phone trying to figure this out. Instead of seeing the issue wasn’t something I could control the billing department advised I make an appeal. I wrote a 60 page appeal for these bills. My appeal came back and my insurance company again in writing said this was not my responsibility. I sent this to the billing department. The billing department just informed me that since their coding is different the bill would reflect my outstanding balance. They also informed me that the collection meeting would be mid-November. I requested they send the appeal letter to their provider side of the billing and they seemed reluctant to do it. I’m not sure how this company believes something that my insurance company is telling me is my responsibility. I met my max out of pocket and these are services that are included in my insurance plan. I do not know how 8ish months after graduating they are trying to bill me $975.

Our family has been going to Tender Touch Therapy for almost 6 years now. Each of the therapists we have worked with in all disciplines (OT, PT and Speech) have been well equipped to work with the varying needs of our children. The therapists truly care about their patients and seek to make therapy fun and enjoyable while helping the child meet their goals. Our therapists have become part of our team and we love them. We have watched our children thrive through the services provided at Tender Touch and we would highly recommend them for your therapy needs.

Tender touch is absolutely horrible with outside insurance. We have been having issues with this place to actually do their jobs in submitting and itemizing everything for our insurance. It’s been about a year and we still haven’t had this resolved.

I have found with two therapists the same exact problem. The therapists waited until I was pulling my child out of therapy (because we thought she was doing well) to tell me that they thought she was good enough to take out of therapy. Why don’t the therapists tell me proactively that they feel that our child was doing great and didn’t really need to come anymore? My child saw two therapists a week for the longest time. It gets to be very expensive for therapy when you don’t have the greatest insurance.

They offer a holistic approach including yoga/boot camp classes and fitness training for all types of physical activities as well prescribed therapy services. Emily is the most amazing therapist I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She has built a very trusting relationship with my son, which isn't an easy thing to do. My son has made tremendous strides with Emily and has met more than one milestone. He looks forward to his therapy sessions every week. If you're looking for great therapists for your child, look no further than TTT.

Tender Touch Therapy is the best! My child has received both PT and OT weekly for the last 7 years. The therapists go above and beyond to build relationships with the children and families to best meet the needs of each patient. They will help you with everything from understanding your insurance coverage, doing initial evaluations, pushing your child to reach his or her potential, and ongoing monitoring of your child's goals. I highly recommend TTT!

This is an exceptional pediatric therapy clinic. Therapists go above and beyond to meet the needs of the children that they work with. Highly recommend Tender Touch to anyone that has pediatric PT/OT/Speech needs. My daughter has received therapy at Tender Touch for several years and continues to make progress each year thanks to all of the therapists at Tender Touch. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
