The doctors are excellent, though my only interactions with the surgeon was having my two cats put down. Dr Kelley always explained things and looked for alternatives. My cat was very nervous coming in but would calm down with Dr. Kelley. That said, the staff is impersonal and at times make it feel like caring for a pet interrupts their day. Didn't even get my cat's name right when they put her down and didn't give me anything to remember her by (like paw prints).

Staff is always friendly and amazing. They are compassionate about our animals and want what is best for them. They let us know about prices up front so we know what to expect. We also recently had a family dog pass away and they were very sympathetic with us and took great care of her and our family. Highly recommend this team of professionals.

Pleasant Prairie Animal Hospital has been caring for my dogs since I moved to the area two years ago. My experience has always been pleasant and efficient. They treat your pets so well, and answer any questions you may have about your pets care. I highly recommend them for anyone that wants the best care possible for their fur babies!

I called Pleasant Prairie Animal Hospital today (day before Thanksgiving) and the phone was answered by a very pleasant woman. I asked if they had any appointments on Friday or Saturday (this was the day before Thanksgiving) and she said they were closed by both days but she had an appointment for Tuesday. Then she asked what was going on with my cat. I explained to her that our vet clinic had an unexpectedly death of one of their vets and my cat was on medications for his thyroid and he was running low. He also had a cough for the past couple of weeks. She said that she just had a cancellation and she was getting ready to call another patient to see if they wanted the appointment but offered it to me and I took it. The facility was very spacious and clean and we were greeted very kindly when we walked in. The staff was very friendly. When we got back to an exam room the vet tech was a great listener and very kind and gentle with my 15 year old cat. The vet was just as nice and gentle. He explained everything well and seemed to genuinely care about the well being of my cat which I really appreciated. My cat had to get blood drawn and they also wanted a urine sample. He explained how he was going to obtain the urine (puncture through the abdomen, with a small needle into the bladder and draw up urine into a syringe). The vet was very skilled in getting my cats blood and urine and was able to both in about 5 minutes. They let me joke when to expect the results and was able to give me medications for him. I even liked the fact that that the vet asked if we would like his antibiotics in pill or liquid form. They were so efficient. I am so pleased and so happy that I chose them to care for my cat. I am so grateful for everyone who works there and have no problem paying them for their amazing service.

Anytime I call the staff is so accommodating to get our pets seen. And Rachel at the front desk, I could not say better things about her welcoming nature and her wonderful approach. 10/10 recommend Pleasant Prairie Animal Hospital over any other vet in the area.

We have taken our Golden Retriever here for 2 years now. She’s had both of her ACLs replaced and we couldn’t be happier with her recovery and treatment throughout. Dr. Pettey truly knows our Daisy and cares. He is extremely intelligent and yet explains things in ways I can easily understand. He takes his time and allows you to ask questions. The staff has been the same which says a lot about how they are treated as well as how much they care and enjoy their job. It feels like a family when we walk in. I wouldn’t trust anyone else and highly recommend them.

Dr. Pettey and his staff are absolutely amazing! I knew going into the appointment it was not going to be good news (pup has bone cancer and they had a machine big enough to do scans to see if it spread and how long he has), but they were so nice and understanding through the whole process. I would highly recommend their practice to anyone!

I brought my 3 cats for a first visit with Dr Petty today. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Petty and his team. They are absolutely amazing! Rachel is so welcoming: she is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Raul is an amazing cat whisperer! It was first time ever my cats were calm and allowed exam without drawing tech’s blood or climbing the wall. Dr. Petty is incredible: kind, gentle, empathetic, through and knowledgeable. Dr. Petty provided the utmost care for my 3 cats today. He takes time to listen and was so patient to gain my anxious cats’ trust enough to perform through exam, shots and draw blood. I couldn’t believe how calm my cats were in Dr. Petty’s care. It is an amazing feeling to find a forever doc for my furry kids. Thank you Dr Petty, Rachel and Raul.

I brought my dog in for a first visit with Dr. Petty. My dog suffers great anxiety when seeing a Veterinarian, but Dr. Petty took his time and was wonderful gaining my dogs trust enough to get his exam, shots and blood draw. I couldn't believe it. I hope I have found the Vet who will take care of Buddy until the end.

This vet was able to get our dog Tank in last minute for a never ending ear infection. Dr. Kelly was great and very thorough in explaining his diagnosis and examining our dog. He took the time to truly try to help our dog, and could tell he cared about our dogs health. This hospital was very clean and a good location. Staff at this vet was great at communicating medication and explaining how to use it and how often.

The team I have encountered on a regular basis = amazing. They treat our dogs like family. Dr. Pettey is very knowledgeable and patient, as is Dr. Kelly, who takes the time to listen and understand. Junior always makes me feel welcome and Rachel always makes me laugh even during some pretty rough visits.

The best professionals work here and these are not empty words! Our kennel has been served in this clinic for a year already, before that we were in another clinics, and we have something to compare with. Dr. Petty provided the utmost care and reassurance for our NOVA! Staff here are great. Danette and Nicole omg are so sweet. They have the passion and love to care and guide us dog mommies ❤️.Everyone is super happy to help and rest assured they will give you the opportunity to express your concerns.My Nova is still in the process of healing but I am certain that she will continue to be the trooper that she is with the help of Dr Petty and his staff.
