north shore bank STOLE over $400 from my wifes checking & savings accounts. she opened tha accounts with her tax return checks. the initial deposit totaled $2500. at the time of opening the checking & savings accounts the suggested that she sign up for "OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE" for her DEBIT/checking account. Taking the advice of a banking professional, she said OK to it. What the banking professional DID NOT EXPLAIN, was what I later discovered in the fine print of the "terms and conditions". Which was,by agreeing to be enrolled in this"OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGE" program, any DEBIT transactions that would normally be declined if there was not enough money in the acct to cover the transaction, would instead be approved. sounds wonderful so far.....EXCEPT EACH TRANSACTION IS INCURRING A $36 FEE. in addition to that they will approve up to 5 transactions per day like this. seems a bit unethical, but wait, that is not all. in addition to the$36 fee per transaction, after her account was overdrawn for 24hrs. there is also a daily fee of an additional$5 for each day that the account is overdrawn. What is important to note is, while this was going on the balance in her savings account was$850!!! Over $400 was charged to her checking account in fees alone. PLEASE remember, this is a DEBIT ACCOUNT!!! WHEN HER DEBIT CARD STOPPED WORKING, she went to the branch & they explained that "it was her fault, and that she should be more responsible". Then I decided to go to the bank with her to close both accounts and come to a reasonable FEE TOTAL and wash our hands of NORTH SHORE BANK. The teller, and the banker Debbie Oatsvall BOTH CLAIMED that they did not have the authority to reduce the fees any more than $50. I told Mrs. OATSVALL that NO REASONABLE PERSON who looked at the account history 0f both the accounts would be able to call the actions taken by the bank ETHICAL OR FAIR. I had guessed that this was all simply due to a computer program clicking away with no one aware of what it was doing. TO MY GREAT SURPRISE, after reviewing the account histories DEBBIE began explaining how the FLEECING OF OVER $400 FROM MY WIFE WAS JUSTIFIED!!!!! THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF MY CAMPAIGN OF EXPOSURE OF NORTH SHORE BANKS SLIMEY/DISGUSTING PRACTICE OF SWINDLING PEOPLE IN THE KENOSHA AREA! I AM GUESSING AS i GET FURTHER ALONG WITH ALERTING THE PUBLIC BY PASSING OUT FLIERS, POSTING LARGE SIGNS, AND INFORMING EVERY ONE I CAN ONLINE.... THAT I WILL MEET OTHER VICTIMS OF THIS SCAM..... WE WILL SEE!!!!
