Meijer is a family-owned, one-stop shop in Kenosha, WI, offering great food, great brands, and great value. It is a favorite grocery store for many, described as having a little bit of everything with a good selection. The store features the freshest produce delivered daily, including a great selection of fresh produce, especially different types of apples and oranges. It has a custom-cut quality meat department with a good selection, though it can sometimes run out of specific items like beef stew meat in winter. The bakery and deli are top notch, with bread baked fresh daily and the best donuts. The dairy section is great with a good cheese selection, and the alcohol selection is good as well. The store also has a great selection of everything you would need, including all the mainstream brands, a variety of pet supplies, and clothes and shoes. There are really good weekly deals and very friendly, helpful staff. However, the store can be super busy and out of stock on lots of items. The self-checkouts are a pain and there are often only a few actual registers open. The slushy-icee machine is frequently broken. While generally well-liked, some staff can be unpleasant. Overall, it is a nice store with a great selection across more than 40 departments, from premium pet brands to the latest fashions for the entire family.
