After a long search to find a primary vet for my pet after moving back to the area I have hit the jackpot with Kenosha Animal Hospital. The care team took time to bond with my pet after he showed some hesitation. I will definitely be bringing my pet here long term.

I was just accused of not paying for med that I’ve paid for. Every time I go in to get meds for my dog there’s some kind of issue. My dog has progressive heart disease. He needs these meds to stay alive. I’ve already paid them thousands of dollars they’ve done excessive unnecessary x-rays. When I asked about his yearly check up(wellness exam) they told me I didn’t need a wellness exam at the time because we were focusing on his heart, then turned around and told me I can’t get his meds unless I schedule a wellness exam. They’re nickeling and diming me to death and taking advantage of the fact that I love my dog I want to keep them alive. I don’t suggest this place.

Dr. Carlisle gives exceptional care to his furry patients. He sincerely cares for them, and does everything he can (he has a wide breadth of knowledge) to help them. The staff are kind as well.

They are a very caring staff there. Dr. Carlisle is the Best. He has taken care of my dogs for several years. Had to wait in the air con'd entry way until ride got there as it was very hot day. Staff brought my dog a bowl of water. They are very thoughtful.

These folks are beyond excellent they are loving and caring, professional, and informed. They have a genuine heart for animals. You could not ask for a better care provider.

Dr. Carlisle is probably the most amazing vet I have ever met and he took care of my cat that had cancer, and while he euthanized her, he was very kind and you could tell how bad he felt at least I could tell how much he liked my cat personally it would always say she's a sweet girl, every time, you can tell the way he says it he truly means it although I am bias, she was one of a kind. you can tell he truly loves his job and what he does and he truly cares for the animals. I will say the communication is really not the best and most of the receptionist can be a little brash and rude. They seem like they tend to care less about you and they just kind of "try get through the day" so to speak, they just give that energy off I guess. I will say the only reason I go there is because of Dr. Carlisle and how inexpensive it is compared to other Kenosha veterinarian hospitals/offices.

If no stars were an option, I would honestly select that. I want to start by saying that the vet staff seems to be good with the animals. The elderly vet should probably hang up the towel as it seemed like the tech was the guide for one of our visits. Communication here is TERRIBLE! I'm not sure if it is the front of house, the back of house or a combination of. The amount of misinformation given regarding appointment times, treatment plans and follow-ups was honestly a joke. You are told one thing and then told another and then yet another when you arrive. A good example would be my cats (which I still think were treated inaccurately due to this miscommunication) were brought in due to a positive fecal outcome. Let me add that we knew it was a positive fecal outcome ONLY because I called them to verify due to miscommunication or lack of communication from this team in the past for another pet. I dropped this fecal off on a Friday and was told that if I didn't hear anything by Saturday, they were good to go and could be unquarantined. Knowing this team's shortcoming from past experience I did not trust the lack of a call and decided to keep a quarantine and call them on Monday. Well guess what, Positive for parasites still with no explanation why there wasn't a call. We were told that meds would be ready after 2 pm. I came in to pick up the meds at 4pm. The receptionist had no meds and had to go back and check for them. She seemed annoyed so I'm guessing this was possibly a normal thing. She comes back as asks "are the cats with you" to which I responded, "no they are not, I'm here to pick up meds". Then I'm told the cats had to be there for a weight check to give the meds. I rush home and rush back with them and am brought into a room. After sitting there for at least 10 to 15 min I see appointments for each cat pop up on my phone (no big deal, I'm guessing they needed to be entered in for bookkeeping). An hour later....AN HOUR (still not seen by ANYONE) I walk out to the receptionist and ask if I can just weigh them myself since I was starting at the scale in the room alone for an hour. The receptionist had the nerve to ask, "Well do they know you are in there?" to which I did not give a nice reply. She said she would go check what was going on and I went back in the room. The walls and doors are paper thin so you can hear every conversation professional and not. I hear her go back and tell the techs that there is a very angry man in room six (or whatever room) and can someone just go take the weight of the cats. That was followed up by the techs saying they never called back about the fecal and that they had no idea who was in that room waiting. A girl came in after that and as I started this review, was very good with the cats. There were no apologizes during this whole experience and then I needed to wait again for that same girl to ring me up because the receptionist said that she should have done that in the room. There are other example I could provide but honestly don't feel like putting any more effort into anything regarding this business. I called today to cancel the cats follow up appointments and am happy that I will never have to deal with them again. I took the time to write this in hopes others would not have to deal with it as well. Figure out the communication breakdown and MAYBE this would be a decent office.

My family has taken all of our pets here for years! We have had many cats and dogs that have all been under Dr. Carlisle's veterinary care and we always receive the most amazing care we could ask for. It is always nice to see the same faces as we walk in the door with big smiles, caring attitudes and you can tell that they are all passionate about being there! Between the receptionists, technicians, and veterinarians, they all make this stressful process for my dog so much better. When we brought our Daisy home we never expected the conditions she would later be diagnosed with. But Dr. Carlisle and his amazing staff have worked so well with her, her specialists, and us to help keep her happy and healthy! Thank you to everyone there for the amazing care you always provide!

Our family has taken our dog to this location for years. She has had her shots here and when she swallowed the plastic part of her squeaky toy, we brought her here as well. They took very good care of her and her issue was resolved! The staff are pleasant, and overall a nice and professional place for our furry little loved pets!

You won’t find another vet who cares more than Dr. Bill Carlisle. Their facility just underwent a big renovation and they spared no expenses. Your dog or cat will love the big fish tank in the waiting room. Their prices are fair. My dog is always excited to see the staff and he’s always compensated for his time with plenty of treats.

I'd rate the overall experience fair.
I'm very glad I brought a extra phone besides the one that uses WiFi since they're WiFi is for the hospital only. Kinda petty.
