If I could give the an minus (-) sign I sure would! If there was 1 thing I'd tell you the consumer is to go somewhere else. I've had them since 2009 and went into foreclosure several times, but I've muscled my way out of it and have an awesome job now. Haven't missed a single payment in 2 years, but for them to tell it I've missed 4 and they are trying to force me back into bankruptcy. Save yourself the hassle and avoid them at all costs. I'm looking for an attorney to sue them right now!

I am not even able to give a them one star considering my recent experience with Flagstar Bank. Let's just say as a mortgage company they are quick to take and process your payments. However good luck getting through to customer service to resolve any issue for you. Even when they admit that they as a bank are in the wrong, they will NEVER resolve your issue to your satisfaction. This is a bank that operates on the premise of, the bank needs first, customer - maybe comes next.It has been three months now since I have been trying to get this bank to endorse my open insurance claim checks. They made an error initially and sent the checks to me unendorsed. I contact them to troubleshoot the issue, which they admit was a mistake on their end. But they do nothing to fix it other than putting all the work on me to resolve this. I remailed the checks via overnight delivery to them, at a cost to me, with no reimbursement from them for re-mailing cost of an issue stemming from them. They claim to have mailed the checks back to me and it has been close to 5 weeks now with no checks in sight. I called them only for them to plainly tell me, "go ahead and request a reissue from your insurance company". There is NO guarantee whatsover that they will resolve this issue in a timely manner. They just do not care for you as a customer. Let's just say it is high time to take my business elsewhere.

Received a letter from Flagstar statingNotice of servicing transfer to a new bank. I still continue to get statements from Flagstar Bank with an amount due. Called to resolve and was told to keep ignoring the statements. They refused to give me any documentation that I no longer owed Flagstar.

Applied for a home loan and was told someone would contact me soon. Waited a week and didn't hear a thing. I'll take my business somewhere that actually communicates in a timely manner.

This is the most god awful place to deal with. Avoid at all cost. 1.5 hours to speak with someone for 8 minutes about endorsing and insurance check. Customer service is the last thing this company cares about.

I have referred Ralph to friends and family who are looking to buy a new home or refinance their mortgage. ALL of their experiences were positive and they were able to get better deals than other lenders were offering them.

Flagstar just charged me $30 for an email with my mortgage loan payoff amount. First off, that is s shady fee. Second, I was informed of the fee AFTER I requested this. If you like shady fees, go with this lender.

Worst bank ever! Stop refinancing with these guys if you're in the process! They don't know what they're doing! They're frauds! They promise you one thing and reallocate your money to where it best suits them. Still waiting on a call back from a manager that promises such a high level of service. Apparently that's a lie too...
