Absolute worst. Flagstar bought my mortgage from Rocket and it has been a disaster. They never have any idea what’s going on. Pending payments somehow dissapear then they want to charge a late fee. Nobody there knows anything and they are absolutely worthless. I cannot wait to refinance away from them.

I was told when I signed my mortgage that when the loan to value ratio got down to 80% or less I could request that the PMI be removed. My last month's payment put this value under 80% so I submitted the form to have this PMI removed from my loan. I received a letter back stating that I had to pay $190 and then they would contact me to set up a time to appraise the property. And then they still have 30 days to let me know if they approve the removal. Sorry but I think that an excellent credit rating and on time payments for 4 1/2 years should be enough. I would absolutely never recommend this company and I am looking forward to the day that I sell and no longer have to deal with them.

After five long months, hundreds of emails and documents, we finally closed with our assumable mortgage with Flagstar. As you can see, the closing documents say, 6/7/2024. Our first mortgage payment was supposed to be 7/1/2024. However, we started getting bills, calls and letters from the mortgage companies, collection agencies etc. that we owed for June. As we all know, the June payment was for the month of May. We did not live there in May.
We were told by Lakeview that the former owners check was sent back, Flagstar said multiple times that the check bounced. I’m not a lawyer, but I don’t think we should be privy to that information.
We were told by all companies to pay for June and then we can deal with taking the former owners to court. We don’t know the former owners or have any current information. That is not our job to pay for a month that we did not even live in the home.
Now I found out not only did they mess up the June payment, but Flagstar, after four months to figure of mortgage payments ( from February to closing in June) decided our payments should go from $1697.77 to $1993.73. We also received a letter that we owed an extra $1476.46 for additional charges.
We continued to make more calls and emails to the companies and to Lakeview and Flagstar’s reparation department. We were told it was taken care of, finally, only to find out that Flagstar took a double payment in July to pay the June payment we DID NOT OWE on. I have been dealing with this for almost three months; from June to today, Sept 5. They have done nothing to rectify the situation. They are so unprofessional.

Absolutely the worst customer service which only follows their dismal communication skills. Zero respect. Maybe zero training, who knows. My mortgage was sold to them. I would never use them if I wasn’t forced. I encourage others to leave if able, it only gets worse.

My very first interaction with this company after they bought my loan and I am already looking to get it refinanced. The agent I spoke to was the most unprofessional person I have ever had to interact with. Train on soft skills and customer service at minimum. Your processes and systems are also abysmal.

This is by far the worst company that I’ve worked with thus far not only are the contradicting in their correspondence, but their customer service Is very poor. No wonder they had a class action lawsuit against them prepare predatory practices. And not disclosing information that would help those who are struggling with their mortgage.

I wish I could give negative stars. They are so unhelpful and their customer service doesn’t care about their customers. They put a hold on my account, without telling me, since I didn’t have overdraft protection setup yet for my bank. Run do not walk away from this mortgage company.

Worst customer service and most inept firm at handling payments I have ever witnessed. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. My mortgage was sold to this firm and I have had nothing but problems with them crediting payments appropriately despite multiple phone calls to insure that payments were correctly credited.
Run as far and as fast way from doing business with. I’ve been transferred to many people in the company. Multiple calls to handle issues and the response has been met with. “ We will note this is in the “the voice of the customer”.
They do not have an app to see your account. They want you to use their “my loan” website which is antiquated and has little functionality.
Worst company.

I’ve spent the last 45 minutes trying to be connected to a live person. I’ve been disconnected by the automated system and been sent a circles with no end in sight! Why is it so hard to get help!

Only one star because zero or (-) isn't an option. They don't follow the law on their end. We have a loan that requires property taxes to be escrowed. They didn't escrow them and now want me to fix the paperwork and resend all the documents as if I'm just starting with them. I've tried calling and get nowhere. Don't tell me to contact you as I've already tried that and get nowhere.
Terrible customer service.

If I could give the an minus (-) sign I sure would! If there was 1 thing I'd tell you the consumer is to go somewhere else. I've had them since 2009 and went into foreclosure several times, but I've muscled my way out of it and have an awesome job now. Haven't missed a single payment in 2 years, but for them to tell it I've missed 4 and they are trying to force me back into bankruptcy. Save yourself the hassle and avoid them at all costs. I'm looking for an attorney to sue them right now!
