Came in today for assistance with my auto loan. Christina R was fantastic and got me answers and full assistance in a very timely manner. She also educated me on all the services BMO has to offer.

I don’t recommend anyone to open an account at any of BMO Harris locations. I came in to open an account on my mother’s behalf as her guardian and I was consistently asked about my job description and I had to provide multiple identities to prove that I am who I say I am. Then when I provided a credit card for credit one bank to the bank officer he then began to dis credit the card I told him I have other credit cards after belittling me but he declined the check cleared the following business day and me and my mother were told that they were to hold her money for 7business days then they followed with a letter saying 9 business days constantly calling asking questions about my mother and where she worked, even though the settlement check was from a local business and the manager knew it was legit they are trying to find a way to hold her money. This has got to be the worst, but I knew I should’ve walked out when I saw them arguing with an elderly woman about her own money

after weeks of not being able to access my accounts, online. Mr Clark with extreme patience solved the problem, we thought. Now, a couple of weeks later same thing. the site doesnt even accept my email. The problem is systemic, and I agree since BMO took over from M&I this bank has fallen apart. Imagine not being able to across my own accounts. I dont kn ow if my bills are being paid. my only recourse is to bank elseware. The only reason I havent switched before is it seems so complicated. but, can it be any worse than this. I am going to look up .The commissioner of banking in the state and the BBB.

The banks architecture looks old western/country like. Employees are friendly. Recently replaced parking lot.

I've been a customer of BMO for over 20 years. When it was M&I Bank, it was a great bank. Once the merger happened a few years ago. BMO has consistently fallen apart. BMO is a HUGE company, even though they tout (and try) to provide personal service, they fail. Miserably. I have been on the verge of leaving for a couple of years. I have free checking, recently, I received a $12 'service fee'. No one can tell me what that's for. Call here, no answer, call there, no answer. Painful. And if it wasn't for the ALSO VERY PAINFUL process of changing, I would have done so long ago. I HIGHLY recommend you consider another bank. Pick one locally. I've been looking at Johnson Bank for some time (my son uses them). Very helpful, smaller and customer centric. So unless you like big company corporate run-arounds, I suggest you look elsewhere...

Since BMO took over the bank they've pretty much added fees to everything they could, so stay away. I went to close my accounts only to be verbally bullied by the snobby banker who tried to scare me into leaving my account open.
