I've now brought two separate vehicles in to AS&I for an array of jobs. My first official experience as a customer with AS&I was in diagnosing a vanishing coolant issue (while the engine passed all manner of pressure tests). AS&I were able to identify what my warranty providers shop was unable to, and at the request of the warranter, put in a new engine. They worked with the warranter for me to arrange payment for covered repairs, though I was still liable for diagnostic fees which were under $200. Repairs were expertly completed and the vehicle was returned to me ahead of schedule. The second vehicle received a new clutch, and some safety systems were repaired. AS&I also completed their standard diagnostic, and checked for everything I was concerned about. This vehicle was returned almost a full week ahead of the estimated completion time, and below the original price estimate. Beyond receiving exceptional service on my vehicles, I have always had pleasant interactions with all of the staff at AS&I. So long as I live in the area, this will be the shop that I bring all of my vehicles to. It feels great to have a reliable, dependable mechanic.

It was terrible, I took my car for an electrical problem, they wanted to do a diagnosis for 300 dollars, I said no and they charged me 120 to have the car for one night, they did nothing but charge for a service that was not performed, this place is terrible, I don't recommend them at all , they like to get easy money

Well, what can I say, the car is fixed and working. Had the starter motor and ground strap replaced on my 2014 BMW X1 with 98,000 miles on it. Originally, just the starter motor, but after some additional testing they found the ground strap was faulty as well. Might have been caused by the original starter failure. They were able to get it fixed in a reasonable amount of time, 4 days, which isn't bad. A little on the expensive side I thought, $120 per hour for labor and $120 for each diagnostic test, but sometimes that is the nature of the beast. I did appreciate that they called each time, in advance, to get approval before additional testing or repairs. Like I said, it's fixed and working again. If you can't or don't want to fix it yourself, sometimes you have to bite the bullet.

Engine light on in my Mercedes. Needed to pass emissions. Needed new belt. Went to this place Called with estimate. Said I had oil leak. Pointless to fix belt without fixing oil leaks. Gave them the go ahead. 2800.00 total. 3 weeks later. I go for an oil change. People refused to work on it due to oil leak. Took it back to this shop. Just got a call with estimate. Roughly 600.00 to fix oil leak. Asked why it wasn't fixed when car was brought in. Didn't know. Was told "their" oil leak was fine. WTF. ??? Their oil leak? Are you guys not the ones that told me there was an oil leak coming from somewhere? This car has been in my garage and I have only driven approx 150 miles in the past 3 weeks Due to the car being rear wheel drive with shotty tires in back and all the snow.!!! This has got to be THE CHEESIEST import repair shop I have ever used. Nice website though. RIP-OFF

I purchased a vehicle from here and they did not disclose all the issues. Took it to a couple local mechanics to find out there was thousands of dollars worth of problems that were “covered up” by the seller.

I purchased a 2012 Volvo S60 R-Design from this place recently and the service was excellent. A guy named Walter helped me through the whole process. He's very professional and down to earth, never pushy like you find on some of the larger car lots. He answered every question I had and addressed every concern as well. Real cool, laid back guy, very nice to work with. Also a great selection of real quality cars too, Volvo, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Lamborghini to name a few and the prices are fair. Check them out, it never hurts to look. I really wish I had known about this place years ago.

I cannot believe it but this dealership tried to steal 26,000 from me! They purposely keep their bank out of state in order to commit fraud. Right after I sent my wire they suddenly stopped taking my calls and started acting really shady. I don't don't know how this fraud works exactly but luckily for me my bank (Chase) had already flagged their account for fraudulent activity and held my wire for review before sending. Thank God for Chase because without them I would have been screwed. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. This is just part of the fraud but there are many other things as well. I also learned that they do not release title on the spot even with CASH deals. This is obviously another form of repo fraud that is common with these kinds of dealerships! Stay away and save your money please!!!!!!!

After purchasing my BMW M235i from Walter miller, I would recommend not wasting your time nor money at this establishment. When picking up the vehicle Walter warned me that the tires need to be replaced after the next tire rotation which is roughly 3000-5000 miles. but after taking the vehicle to BMW for an inspection all four tire were under the legal limit. next my plates were supposed to be transferred from my previous car to my BMW. After 2 months to my confusion I receive new plates in the mail. I reach out to Walter and he informs me that they could transfer the plates so the had to order new ones. This is after I've been driving around in a vehicle with plate I THOUGHT were registered to my BMW. They didn't even have the decency to notify me that they could transfer plates and send me temp plates in the mail while I waited for the new ones. Walter has also stopped replying to my email. which just goes to show all they want is your money and customer service means nothing to the establishment. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere!

I don't write many reviews, but I feel the need for others who happen to be in my situation to be aware of Auto Sports & Imports' practices. I brought my car in because the serpentine belt came off. They found out that it was a pulley on the AC compressor that failed. They gave me an estimate of the repairs which is standard practice, but what may or may not throw some customers off is that they will charge you a diagnostic fee of $105 dollars in addition to the work performed. I asked if this fee would still apply if I got it fixed there and they said yes. I've taken my car to Knauz BMW and Brown's Motor Works of Waukegan and I've never been charged a diagnostic fee when I've gotten the work done there. So just be aware that anything diagnostic, like opening your hood or taking fairings off and seeing your AC pulley dangling will cost you $105, but oil/ transmission fluid changes, brake pads, normal wear and tear will not. Needless to say out of principle, I had my car towed to Brown's Motor Works to have the work done there instead.
