“Shorts season is here” is what the sign outside reads…don’t be fooled! If you are looking for 9”, 10”, and MAYBE (if you are lucky) 11” seam shorts then this is it. But the shorts are for people who don’t pick up a tool daily, someone who sits behind the desk, or your younger guy who likes to show off the thigh (he’s young & new…he will learn, the elders will teach him). And how can you not have black shorts or pants? They have 2 brands for shorts - Ariat and Carhartt. Even the young lady sitting behind the desk said it’s more about the fashion. Give me a break. I am actually appalled at the summer selection. This store was excellent years ago, with a variety of brands, styles, and colors that people in the working field actually need to wear in order to be comfortable & functional at work. Now, it is majority Carhartt- don’t get me wrong, great brand but not everyone wants or can afford Carhartt- with other big brands sprinkled within. I use to be able to go in, get clothes that were functional, not necessarily fashionable, and if they didn’t have the size or color - they went out of their way to order it. Are there new owners? Is someone else doing the buying/inventory?I found 1 pair of shorts in clearance that were functional, but waaaaaay too big. I asked if they were discontinued or if we could look to see if we can order them in the size I was looking for. I was told they couldn’t order them, didn’t even look it up on the computer. Okay, that’s fine - but I did look online, the company is still in business and I was also able to find them on Amazon. My family would rather give small businesses money, but I guess this place isn’t it.By all means…owners, sales people, gift givers of top brand names to people who don’t need the functionality and Carthartt loving fashionistas - this is your place. So, where do the men and women who work in the field buy their workwear??

Ordered pants online... they ended up being a size too small... I brought them in for exchange, and the employees and manager had no issues doing the exchange for me. Everyone was very helpful and extremely kind. Thank you for the great service!!

Very nice place. Huge selection products. The older staff was very friendly. Only down fall I would say was the younger girl who checked us out. She was the only one who didn't great or ask if you needed help. She didn't say anything when checking us out besides no I'm not scanning everything twice. Definitely worth shopping here though.

I was surprised on my recent visit to Midwest Workwear. I went into the store to check out the products and I ended up receiving a tour by Pauline which was unexpected. She took the time to explain the history of the store, products, brands, etc. I was so pleased with the customer service that I ended up buying a A18 Carhartt Watch Cap based off of the service I received. I'll be back soon!

Short review: Excellent service, large selection, clean store. Recommend!::::(12/19/23)- Long review: I decided to check out Midwest workwear for a few reasons. They display carhartt on the outside. Anyone up north knows its a good brand but also pricy.I needed a new and better coat due to the amazon one I bought ripped in 2 weeks. However I did not want to pay $100+ for a coat.I checked their website and saw a carhartt for $60. With that info, I figured they had some affordable options.Upon entering, I was greeted with a friendly attitude by the guy working. I showed him the $60 jacket online. While informing me they no longer had that coat, he recommended in my opinion a much better option. The carhartt had no hood, less pockets and probably not water resistant. I asked what's the next coat closest to $60. He showed me a CAT brand coat that fit all my needs & then some...for $50!Not only did he show me the coat, but continued offered great service till checkout. I was pleased with the service after deciding yes on the coat, purchased some gloves as well.

The owner is short and is not personable. They do not sell any Jaguar cut resistant gloves, nor do they sell any of the JagTouch gloves.
