It's the same price to go to my regular vet, as it is to come to vetco, only I get a full exam by my vet. It used to be a deal with the puppy packages, but now it is just as expensive. No reason to come anymore.

Very nice Petco. Very well managed and the associates are polite and helpful. Excellent variety of animals and reptiles. The adoption center was very sweet. If you're looking to adopt that special furry friend, please stop in! Large selection of pet food, toys, and other animal-related items. Grooming services on premises.

Went to get some fish for a well established tank. First off the guy who was helping get fish was an ass! He belittled a customer in front of his kids. He kept telling the guy half truths and out right lies, even after the customer said he knew the risk of having fish with a turtle. So much so the guy put his merchandise back and let the store empty handed. My experience was much worse, i picked out my fish, 7 in all checked out. I went home and put the fish bags in the tank as I've done for the last 40 years of owning fish tanks. I drained the water and placed the fish in my tank. 14 hours later all the fish from the store are dead, you would rightfully think it was the water in my tank, I thought that til I realized all but 2 of my fish are dead. Some have been in the tank for over 4 years. Idk what the fish from Petco brought in my tank, but I'm out over 100 bucks and some of my favorite fish. The saving grace in this whole thing, was the customer care i got at Rockford, the staff personal were compassionate, expressed condolences and promptly gave me a refund. I will be getting my fish from elsewhere from no on.

Easy and convenient! It was a nice alternative for vaccines instead of paying hundreds at the vet.

Made an appoint and then 5 days later, a day before my appointment, they call me and leave a message saying they're cancelling because my dog is too old. They had her age in the from I filled out 5 days prior and once again when I confirmed her age via text 3 days prior. To cancel the DAY BEFORE when you've had that information shows me that they're unprofessional and have no problem wasting their customers time. Not only that, but I had only seen the cancellation text and not the voicemail so I called to see why and was told it's because the groomer's sick, so clearly I was also lied to. Petco also throws LIVE animals away into the garbage. Look it up. I would have never even chosen to come here if my dog didn't need to be groomed asap. Now I have to find another groomer and wait for her appointment AGAIN, because Petco is incompetent.

Store is clean. People are friendly when you can find one. Some are more knowledgeable than others but that's to be expected. Fish I bought didn't last more than a day. Not sure if it's cause my tank is brand new or what not. They were helpful in testing by water and exchanging/refunding my fish.

The "manager" at this place so rude and didn't even try to help me with my concern. Everyone at this location is just kind of unprofessional i bought a ferret and was given no information about his birth so when I tried to call the lady told me there was absolutely nothing she could do however I called other locations and told me that they have back up information about their animals but this location doesn't so I don't recommend buying from this place since they don't have any idea of what's going on. It was clearly their employees fault but for some reason it is my fault and can't even get my ferrets age.

Didn't know this place was in the business of turning down sales. Went to buy a baby Oscar, and the girl selling fish wouldn't sell it to me because she was pissed I would buy a bigger tank. I was treated like crap, and will NEVER go back. Everyone I speak to will hear about this, and won't go there either. Hope the $12.00 fish was worth a lifetime of badmouthing your business.

Much easier right now with covid! You make an appt, go online full in pet details. The day of your appt they txt or call when it's your time slot or shortly before and let you know it's ok to go in. There were only 2 dogs in front of me but one was early so mine went first.So much smoother this way then the lines that they use to have!! I hope they actually keep this in place. So much less stress one dogs when there isn't a store full of them.

Avoid grooming at this location. I am shocked at how my dog looked after a groom. I was called and told my pup was aggressive during nail trimming so I promptly picked him up and understood he was problematic for the groomers. What I didn't expect was that my dog would be completely shaved except his head and tail. He looks insane and he is playful, but not aggressive. Again, no issues with stopping the groom if my pup was biting, but why did they shave him down to nothing? We won't be back.

I have gone in servers times and have always gotten great service. We adopted a new Corgi puppy and needed advice on food, collars and treats. Jamie and Josh were so very helpful. This is the second time Josh took his time to help me and answered all of my questions. I appreciate the awesome customer service I get every time I go in. Thank you Petco!
