Walked in thru the Installation Center on the side… place was clean and people were there to welcome me. I explained my problem and their lead tech listened well and helped me immediately. Took my explanation and actually helped me fix my AMP for free! It was an easy fix, but he was as attentive with me as if I had spent thousands of dollars! 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

I went in on a Sunday, early afternoon. The guy in the front said that I couldn't ask the Geek Squad a question because they were all too busy. There were four employees standing there along with a guy in a black shirt standing there waving his head no, that they had no time to answer my question. I wasn't asking for my computer to be serviced just wanted to know if the problem I had required an appointment and service to my current laptop or if I was going to buy a new one. Either way they would have gained revenue from me. This is the kind of customer service is beyond disgusting and lazy! I counted four cars, including our own in the parking lot, that was too busy to answer a question. The management team here needs to go!!!

What started my issue today was an email I received from a Laura Roweje from the Geek Squad letting me know that my membership renewel was due for $417.00 today. I have never contacted the Geek Squad for anything in any way so I replied letting them know this. When this didn't work I contacted the number provided only to be talked to in circles wanting more information from me so they could process a cancelation request. When I would only give them the information that they had send me for the "renewel" and no further information from me they said they couldn't process the cancelation. I hung up and called the store only to be re routed to a foreign (I presume) call center. I want to report this activity if this is what Best Buy is now doing somehow. Any help out there would be appreciated. Kathy

All I wanted to do was speak to a representative on the phone. Very simple ask I thought. Called the local store and found that now you get stuck in a phone tree of advertisements, call options, and no way to reach a human being in Janesville. Finally I was routed to an outsourced agency where the first agent stated Best Buy in Janesville does not take incoming calls no more and then tried to sell me an iPad. Second attempt ended up again in a call center where again the agent told me they were to busy. When I asked how he knew that he said he just did and again tried to sell me an iPad. Look I was in retail and know the deal but answering a phone should be part of your job. I don't want to drive halfway across town only to learn the product I was looking for is not available. I've had other horrible experiences in this store including a Geek Squad member try ti deny me service on a covered product, a cashier looking like he just woke up, and a young woman who told me "yeah we price match but the price you found on New Egg is quite low and I don't believe it's fair you get this discount." Thank god for Amazon. I'm done with Janesville Best Buy.

Long story short. Worst retail I've experienced ever. Worst customer service. Store manager refused to talk with me as she was on a "phone call" that could take hours. So the supervisor Keegan told me there is no reason to wait. I'll never again do business here. I run a business in Town with 200 employees. I'll give them $10 for gas to avoid ever shopping at this best buy and to travel as it will save them some issues in the future. 0 out of 5 stars for sure.

I went in today, about noon, to return something, and then went to the back in the Apple section to browse. I saw a girl that was apparently stationed there obviously to watch people. She did not smile or greet anyone, just stood there looking suspicious. I was checking out a couple of new mouse models...and turned around to walk aways and she was literally just standing there watching me. Not a word from her - it's really disconcerting and offputting Best Buy to have employees acting like private security..is this what it's come to? I probably won't go back if I did want to buy anything.

Had to wait a while for someone to come help us with the selection in TVs, of course I knew what I wanted to get, but it took some convincing on my stepdad's part that I'm not just an impulsive idiot, which I was not, the employee backed up my choice 100%, that that one was at the best price we were ever going to get it, and it was a solid choice. There was only one left in stock, and it wasn't out front by the displays, we had to ask about it. Me stepdad then said, "you don't have one left anymore, consider it sold!!!" So that person, Kayne, said the TV would be upfront waiting for us whenever we were ready to checkout, and my stepdad wanted to go look at dishwashers. So we glances at dishwashers, once we found them, and he realized he didn't take measurements of the space our current one takes up? So he can't really properly shop for a replacement. So we go to the checkout to pay for the TV and go home, yes yes? NO. The TV isn't up there yet. Like, 10 minutes goes by and it's not up there. There are two people working check out, we gotta keep letting people go past us, Kayne comes back up and tells us they're actually bringing it, hooray, and by the time they do, he takes us and checks us out. I'm not sure about Best Buy, but Kayne is pretty awesome, he really is. He had people load it into the truck for us, pulled up my mom's rewards account so we would pay less for the TV. Really cool kid. I'd like to mention I'm sure earlier in the day was a nightmare, but at the time we arrived, it just seemed like a normal day at Best Buy. Idk.

I have a broken TV and they didn't want to give me a price for the part included for the part and I sat there on the phone for over 30 minutes arguing with a dude so that's fucking Great they wanna come to my house and asses the damage and then give me a full fucking price and then charge me $100 extra for a service fee so do not recommend this business at all

Best Buy Janesville WI took our money and we prepaid for tv install. Took a day off work and guess what? No call no show from Best Buy. Rescheduled and don't be shocked. No show late call about a missing cable which we purchased and was supposedly packed with the tv. oh and missed another day of work. And the pay. Don't shop here. They're not reliable. Hubby going there after his work but that's not helping our cause because next available day off is after October 17 and we have been at this since Sept 14. It rolls downhill. My upcoming surgery prevents me from using stairs hence the new tv upstairs. They are useless at Best Buy in Janesville WI and I will tell everyone I know. I should have listened to you JM! Update-hubby went there and they lost our tv and cable. He bought another tv and the screen was broke. Had to order one to he installed 3 days ago. Still waiting.

Truly an awful place. They don't have a lot in stock. They can't order some items from their store and require you to just do it yourself. The person who claims to be a manager had little authority to help with anything. One of the other managers lost his temper when I was in the store and was unable to assist me due to his anger and had to walk away. They also claim that statements made by the Best Buy team at the National call center are incorrect and almost act like the call center team is a different company. Go somewhere else and avoid the hassle.
