I wasted my money on the $40 Peace of Mind Guarantee. I am having issues with my 2021 return. The federal government withheld my third stimulus. I brought in the letter to the office. One employee requested a trace on it. Nothing from the IRS. I have been unable to reach anyone at the IRS so I contacted H&R Block again. They refuse to help me further. They told me to call the IRS or a tax advocate. They refuse to honor the guarantee I paid for. If you look online it says right there to just bring in your letter, and H&R Block takes care of the rest. What a lie! They said they were instructed to not help with the stimulus payments, but H&R Block did my taxes and took my $40 for the guarantee. That was the return where the person doing the taxes added in the stimulus payment that has since been rejected by the IRS. She then said she cannot call the IRS without me there. I offered to come into the office. Refused again. I will not use H&R Block for my taxes again. Totally unprofessional behavior.
