While the salon has a great vibe, I’m really disappointed in a new policy (12/31/2023) that separates the use of the same gift cards in the salon and the connected boutique, Shiny Objects. I have gift cards that were intended to be used for either massage and/or Shiny Objects and they were purchased when the gift cards could be used in both places. Now I’m told I can only use the cards in the salon. I don’t go to Moxy for hair services and the spa no longer offers massage services. The customer service was not good. I asked if there was anything they could do as the timeframe was recent with the change and my GC amount is significant. They were unwilling. I used to love going to Shiny Objects while my daughter would use the salon. I’m very disappointed in the lack of flexibility to at least honor cards that were purchased prior to the change.

Had an appointment and the wait time was over 15 minutes past that. The stylist did a fantastic job and I love the cut.

I was a first time client and set up an appointment for a full highlight with one of the stylists. When I arrived, the stylist asked me what she was doing for me that day. (Weird that she had no idea what I was there for) I told her and she instantly seemed offended and replied, “Oh, I don’t have time for that!” I felt awkward at that point and asked for partial highlights. She didn’t have time for that either. I should have just left at that point but instead, I asked what she had time for. She said she could do a quick, partial balayage. I decided to go ahead with that and within an hour I was walking out after being charged over $200 for a partial balayage that wasn’t as blended as I had hoped. (The stylist WAS rushed, and maybe my expectations were too high—which is why I am not naming the stylist.) I did not go back for a follow up appointment due to lack of communication between their receptionists and stylists. I didn’t want to take the chance of arriving again only to be told she didn’t have time for what I was scheduled. Plus, I feel the prices are a bit high. Thankfully, I found a new stylist at a different salon who did a full balayage AND trim for $120–and it turned out amazing.Service: Balayage

My husband and I got married on July 29th, 2023. I had my trial and day of hair and makeup done at Moxy’s. My mom and step mom also got their hair and make up done and I had five bridesmaids get their hair done.Brianna did my hair and Katrina did my makeup. Brianna was easy going and willing to change things if I didn’t like them- during my trial and day of my wedding. Katrina was very bubbly, outgoing, and knowledgeable about makeup and skin care. I didn’t love my trial because it was too dark. Katrina was able to adjust what she did so it was perfect on my wedding day. Katrina was very encouraging and brought a fun energy. One of my bridesmaids has a ton of hair. She wanted to have her hair down, but her stylist refused and told her it would take too long and that she needed to have it up. This was the only negative I had.Moxy’s provided juice, fruit, bagels, and muffins which was a great touch! We were able to bring in additional food and drinks as well.

I went in for a lash tint and lift and I am beyond pleased with my results. It looks like I have mascara on all the times. They r absolutely perfect and so affordable! Katrina was amazing and very knowledgeable. The shop was super cute and clean.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I just had a Lashlift and Henna eyebrow treatment done by Katrina and it's amazing! My lashes and brows look gorgeous! Just wake up and go. Katrina is so kind, thoughtful, and a perfectionist. Thank you for making me feel so special.

I came into Moxy's hired as a photographer for a bride and I truly believe this staff was absolutely amazing. They provided the Bridal party with hair and make-up and did an amazing job. They where very pleasant to talk to and made sure I got the photos I needed for the bride.
