The ladies at the Post Office are always friendly. They remember your name and treat you the way they want to be treated. Any issues I had with lost mail they helped me with. They provide an address and phone number.

I live locally as in within walking distance to the post office.This has to be the worst post office I've ever had in my entire life.They will find petty pathetic ways to refuse delivery.And then realize that there was no reason for them to refuse delivery.Even during the winter when the plow comes "NOT OUR FAULT" they will refuse to deliver your packages because of 4 feet of Heavy compressed snow that is 1 foot apart from the mailbox to the side of the road. That we have to shovel out. Some of which are people in their 40s or 50s that cannot even do that sort of thing without hurting themselves.Anyone can vouch that this is a bad post office. And at times when the packages get to them early we're talking at 1am - 4am they don't even bother to put it in their vehicle for same day mailing. They intentionally make you wait an extra day. And sometimes it'll be Saturday too. So you won't see something that is in their care on a Saturday be shipped until monday.I feel bad for those who have a PO Box there. And have to deal with missing packages.Out of the whole Hayward area The USPS is the worst.The Staff are quick to refuse deliveries without warning or any mentioning.They're quick to make you the bad guy.Most of the time if you order fragile items. that'll fit inside the mail box. They will fold it anyways. Rather than placing it on the door step.THEY NEVER GET OUT OF THEIR CAR TO DELIVER MAIL AND WOULD RATHER DAMAGE YOUR PACKAGE BY CRAMMING IT IN YOUR MAIL BOX.Your a Government established business. This doesn't seem very professional at all.Also if there is one petty thing wrong with your mail box. Too high, too low, too small, not close to the side of the road. ETC they will also refuse to deliver mail.And so you go and fix the problem. Only for them to complain about another problem.The only good thing about the USPS and why I am not giving them a 1 star. Is because they at least deliver each day at around the same time. That's literally it.

The staff at Hayward are very nice, but the Post Office its self is awful. Lost my pkg 2 Christmas in a row.

Delivery always forgets multiple of my packages. Just the other day they failed to deliver something I spent $75 on, yet still marked it as 'delivered.'

friendly, very efficient, does a great job handling a lot mail in crowded conditions...the mail carriers on the route do a good job through all kinds of weather conditions.

I've had multiple packages delivered to the wrong address. I mean, their job is serious. TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE ADDRESSES CORRECTLY!

Mail routinely misdelivered to neighbors and had certified mail that was never attempted to get signature. Carrier left note in box instead. This is the worst route I've every been on. They even left a heavy package at Price Rite liquor instead of my house cuz it was to heavy to lift. What the heck was she thinking. Informed delivery didn't say where it was and wasn't at post office. There should be a negative rating.

Two packages lost in just a few months. Lost an order of personal checks and I ended up having to close my checking account as a result. Tracking showed it was delivered to the post office and then picked up. I was home during mail delivery and never got any notification that it arrived. Went to the post office and felt largely like they didn't care, despite the huge security issue for me. They had no idea where it was, and suggested someone took it from my mailbox - again, I was home during delivery. I opened a missing package case online, but never got any kind of communication from the post office like the website said I should.

Needed a package delivered before I went out of town and was home all day. Around 4 PM, tracking magically showed there was an attempted delivery and my package was being held at the Post Office for pickup at the customer's request. There was never an attempted delivery nor did I request they hold it for pickup. Now I won't be able to get there to pick up the item and it will be sent back. I'll need to reorder it and pay for shipping again due to the carrier's laziness or incompetence. Not cool.
