Northwoods installed a new wood burning fireplace in our house this winter. From start to finish our process with them was A+. Holly spent the time to work with us to get us the exact fireplace that met our needs. Once we figured out what we were going with we were on the schedule for installation. They were exact on the installation timeline and got everything handled for us. I would highly recommend using Northwoods!

We needed to replace an old pellet stove and looked at a wood burning stove. We talked to Holly explaining our needs and requested to have someone come look at our current setup. Holly explained the stove we were looking at had a 90 day turnaround time and asked for a down payment. We explained we prefer to have someone look at our current setup before anything is ordered. Brian stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and took measurements. He said the stairway to the basement was tight but he would make it work. Holly was scheduled to call us back on Monday to get the down payment and place the order. We waited until Thursday and still did not receive a phone call. We called only to find out Brian decided he could not do the job because the stove was too heavy to carry by hand. Although disappointed we appreciated Brian admitting the job was too much for him. However due to our experience we can't recommend Northwoods Stove and Fireplace. The only reason we can't recommend them is lack of customer service. I don't know if Holly would have ever called us to explain they decided not to do the job. All i can say is we did not hear back from them. We had canceled appointments with two other stove dealers because we thought everything was good to go with Northwoods Stove and Fireplace. Our issue is not that they turned down the job....it is lack of communication/customer service. It made us think about what kind of customer service we might get if they didn't turn down the job.

We’ve had a great experience with Northwoods Stove & Fireplace. They are incredibly professional and responsive. They have been easy to communicate with, and follow thru on what they agree to. Holly has been super helpful in walking us thru our options, and has really gone the extra mile to help us sort thru the unique challenges of rebuilding our old fireplace.

Excellent customer service! We wanted a Jotul that they did not have in-store, but they found one and gave a discount as well. They delivered the stove to our home and went above and beyond in making sure that no damage was done. We decided to install the stove ourselves since we had done this in the past; we had difficulties with our installation, but Holly and Brian did everything to help us and answer our questions. We live 50 miles from their shop and they made every effort to accommodate us in every way.
