Mike is a great guy that really knows his stuff! He bends over backwards for every single customer and goes out of his way to ensure the best advice is given. Make the beautiful drive out there and go visit this shop. He helped me get a gift certificate set up for my grandfather over the summer, and was very patient with me while I tried to describe what I was looking for. I had no idea what I was talking about, but I left that shop feeling more knowledgable than ever!

What a great shop in one of the best places to fish in the world! If there is something you need they probably have it! If they don’t, they will order it, and they have great prices. If you are a weekend angler, or a pro, this is a shop not to be overlooked when you are up anywhere near Hayward.

I think you should have a personality, if you want to work with the public. This guy was zero help in any aspect of our visit. We left and went straight to Bait and Bottle and had a much better experience there.

Great bait shop with a good variety of lures and other fishing supplies. Worth the stop just to get current information on what fish are active and where. Will be back!!

Jenks is the ultimate “one-stop-shop” in Sawyer County. From ice cold beer to custom lures, the owner (Mike) has you covered no matter what your need or level of angling expertise. To add on, Mike is one of the biggest characters in the northwoods and will always go above and beyond to ensure satisfaction with a smile. Jenks is one of the few “classic era” bait shops still in existence - definitely worth a visit!!

Jenk's is the best bait shop in the Northwoods and a must stop if youre fishing the hayward area. If you need anything for a trip, Mike either has it or will do his best to get it for you, whether you need a certain bait, rod, reel or info on your next guided trip Mike has the answers.

Caught August 4th 2022 on Chief Lake at the Chippewa Flowage. The Northern Pike was 13 lb ,14-in girth, and 34 in length. He put up a great fight and was a lot of fun to catch.

Awesome store. Prices are fair for the location. Very friendly owner and helpful. He did our 5 reels with new line in a very timely manner. This store has a wonderful selection of lures, live bait, and hardware. Overall 5 stars. Thank you!

Jenks is a great shop. I have been coming here for years and Randy (previous owner) and now Mike,the current owner have always taken care of me with great customer service.They sell great gear at a fair price. Here’s a tip - before you buy from a big box store like Bass Pro etc call Mike, he doesn’t raise prices just because everyone else does and you’ll be surprised how many times he’s a better deal, plus you feel good knowing you’re supporting a local Wisconsin business.Bob Oliai
