Dr. Good and Dr. Kreuger are amazing! The staff is just as wonderful!! We have been taking care of our senior Shih tzu for the last month with the watchful eye of Dr. K. She was dutifully returning every call we had when our girl was getting worse. Today we took our 17 year old baby for the last time and put her down. We have been dog owners for 45 years and this clinic made us feel so comfortable during this terrible time. If you are looking for compassion at fair prices...this place is the best.

Just had a wonderful experience at a (new to us) vet - Lake Country Veterinary Care in Hartland. Dr. Dietrich and Connie treated our cats with great care and compassion. There was no quick in and out. They took time to calm them down and talk with us about their care. And as an extra bonus, it didn't break the bank to have them seen. Give them two thumbs way up!!! I believe that many of the reviews for this clinic are for a different place. Unless people come from MO and CA to go the the vet...

So far, so good. Impressed with how quickly they can see my pet. Also pleased with care. Only been using them for about 4 months but I like what I see. Friendly staff.

I really liked this clinic, the veterinarian's and their care until Covid. It is July 2021 and they are still not allowing you to go into the building. I work at a hospital and we are caring for patients with Covid not pets and while we wear masks we are otherwise back to business. I completely understand taking precautions prior to a vaccination being available but now if you you are concerned you can get vaccinated. The last two visits with my dog were sub par with poor communication because I had to wait in the parking lot and communicate with the doctor through the staff. We are not coming back and are finding care elsewhere. Good luck!

We are very disappointed with the care or lack thereof. We had been taking our dog to LCV for the past 4 years. Due to COVID they decided to do drop off services. Our dog has a history of trauma and abuse as a puppy so she is very anxious around those she doesn't know. About 5 minutes after dropping my dog off Dr Dietrich came out stating that she was refusing to see my dog due to aggressive behaviors stating multiple times that she was "too old for this" and referenced my dogs chart stating there were "notes" stating my dog was aggressive. She insisted I give my dog several sedatives and reschedule my appointment. I can sympathize knowing that they would not like to handle dogs who are "aggressive" but I do not appreciate the lack of empathy on her end to understand the history of an animal's trauma. If she can't handle a dog with severe anxiety who is acting out due to fear then who will? Staff seems burned out and unwilling to work with animals who have anxiety. We will not be returning.

Wow! Talk about taking it to the extreme covid measures: no client entry vet techs come to your car to Get the animal (while wearing a mask under their nose). Sitting car to car listening to dogs bark at each other and talking on the phone to rude vets...we as a society need to figure this out and a little common sense and manners can go a long way

Dr. Good is simply the best bet ever! Before COVID, she made house calls and took care of our pets for at least 19 years. She has been so good with all of our pets throughout their lives, from the time we adopted them until their passing. I am so glad we found her!

I have been taking my cats and dogs to Lake Country Veterinary Care since they opened in 2005. I also took my animals to Dr Kaye before that. They have always gone above and beyond for my animals and myself. They care about my fur babies if they were their own and always call to check on them if one has been there for some problem. Yesterday I rescued a new stray. He had been outside for some time and was severely malnourished. I did not want to have to quarantine him so I called to see if I could get an appointment. They got him in yesterday and checked him out completely. I am happy to report that although skinny he is healthy. When I came to this site to leave a review, I was shocked to read a bad review. No, I could not go in with my new pet but since I have complete faith in their handling of all my animals, I was OK with that after all COVID has made everyone have a "new normal" and they are following the guidelines prescribed for them. The doctor tried to call me in my car but my phone did not ring so she came out to talk to me about the plan for my new baby which are the actions of a very caring individual. As far as filling prescription's after you have changed doctors I seriously doubt any doctor would fill a prescription for anyone (animal or human) if they were no longer the attending physician that would be reckless and not in your animals best interest. They always have had and will continue to have my highest recommendation.

I had been going here for the past 15 years. Everything changed with Covid. They stopped letting me go in with my pets, which was fine for small things. I had to wait 2 months to get my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in for his annual check up. He has a stage 4 heart murmur. These dogs have anxiety by nature and I was told by this same vet not to stress him out. Like most dogs going to the vet is stressful. I was not allowed to go in with my dog and was treated rudely over the phone by the office manager. She gave me no options and kept trying to get me off the phone. When I asked if they would continue to fill my dogs heart medicines if I decided to try and get into another vet she said NO! The vet called me back and wouldn't let me come in either but we came to an agreement that his check up could wait until March of 2021 and she would continue to supply his heart meds. Last week I called to refill the prescription and found out the office was closed down due to 1 person having covid with a very long message that they would "try" and take care of medicine requests. Someone did call me back quickly and I asked if I could have my pet's records when I picked up the prescription. When I reviewed the records the top page had negative notes on it about me and the two previous phone conversations mentioned in this review. Things that were never said such as I accused them of "killing my dog" if I could not go in with him and it would "be all their fault" which is a far cry from the conversation we actually had. I am shocked by this treatment of a loyal customer of 15 years. I was even buying prescriptions (over paying) from them in support during these trying times. By the way the one prescription jumped from $96 to $123 (price gouging?) This vet used to have a Facebook page but it has been removed (my guess is the poor service and many complaints) Main vet is 65 and needs to retire anyway told me she had an auto-immune disease and that is why no customers are allowed inside. Claimed their office was too small for social distancing which is simply not true.

The staff here are exceptionally rude and for no reason. Hanging up on customers is inappropriate and unheard of. If you don't care about how you are treated, then go here. Otherwise, avoid. Plenty of friendly vets in the area that you can go to.

Absolutely a horrible experience! I brought my dog into get a sample of a lump on her chest. I was late for the appointment and I asked if I needed to reschedule. I was told "no, I might just have to wait a little longer". I was treated extremely rudely by both the receptionist and the vet. During the appointment, the vet also gave her a Lepto shot. In doing so, she did not tell me the risks for small dogs. (Please read up on it before you get that shot). The vet, I'll exclude her name here, pushed me through the exam, wanted me to make a snap decision on whether to have surgery on Lucy or a sample. She didn't have all the facts about cost or anything else. I chose taking a sample. Lucy was taken out of the room so I had no idea what they were really doing with her. I asked her to trim her nails as well, and the vet said "we don't have time for that". Two days later, I had to rush the dog to the emergency vet, she was weak and in a lot of pain. The emergency vet treated her for her pain, but two days later, we had to put her down because she had multi-organ failure! Please don't take your pet to Lake Country Veterinary. In this instance it was more important to take my money and push me through the process rather than taking the needed time to discuss the dogs health, treatment and risks. The result, we lost a member of our family.

Absolutely horrible experience. I brought my dog in with what I thought was bloat, an extremely dangerous condition that is usually fatal. They ran an X-ray and diagnosed him with partial bloat, but didn't take the time to figure out the rest of his symptoms. Four days later, he wound up in the emergency room with pneumonia. Since the pneumonia had gone undiagnosed and untreated, it had gotten pretty bad and my dog had to be hospitalized. It was a very scary situation. In addition, the vet at the emergency clinic helped me with some other issues the dog had been having, which lake country never took the time to investigate... although I repeatedly called and took him in. Lake Country Vet has wasted so much of my time and money during numerous appointments, when one trip to the ER solved everything. I'm livid. I am never bringing my dog here again, he could have died. Not to mention, I learned that they are extremely overpriced. Find yourself another vet if you are considering this place.
