Animal enclosures are way too small. Two guinea pigs in a cage likely too small for one. Chinchillas couldn't hide anywhere and looked frozen or depressed.

We went in to shop for ferrets. Got a serious attitude when we asked for help from the clerk that was working in the aisle next to the ferret cage. We were told she didn't have time to help us, said we weren't allowed to handle the ferrets it was against store policy and to go to pet world if we wanted that. She then called someone else and stormed off, leaving the hamsters from the cage she was cleaning in small cages on the shelf near by. So, we took he advice and went to pet world and got a ferret for 100 cheaper that we were allowed to handle. I wouldn't buy a car without a test drive and I won't buy a pet without handling it. I just feel bad for the full grown ferrets they had there that had clearly been stuck in the cage for awhile. I'll be sticking with pet world now.

Had an appointment scheduled for 6/22 @ 12pm that was scheduled well in advanced, got a call on 6/19 @ 6:30pm that they’re canceling my appointment, no explanation as to why. My dog’s birthday is on the 25th which is why he had a little spa day scheduled for the 22nd. Most likely will not be able to get in for an appointment for a couple weeks now, very disappointed.

I love the store, everyone is nice and it has a big selection for some pets but not really for reptiles. The dubai roaches are all tiny even the ones that say large, and the horn worms were all dead and rotten. I'd come here more often for my beardies if they had better bugs and more enclosure accessories.

I have gone to the PetCo VetCo for my cats but they don't really like the dogs!! My cats like other cats though.
I got a new snake tank, lid, and accessories more recently from them and we love it! She has so much more room to move around and definitely fits better in space in the house we moved into.
We love going to Petco for most of our pets needs!!

The store itself is fantastic but the grooming experience I had was a nightmare from beginning to end and I will NEVER bring my dog back to be groomed here again. After a few hiccups I finally got my dog in. She’s a 10month old Pomeranian so I told her I’d like her rear end to be trimmed because she gets poop in her hair. I also told her I wanted her trimmed up so she could match up with where they shaved her when she was spayed about 2months ago and she said no problem. I will say when she took my dog back she was nice and very friendly to her which, to be honest, was something I was worried about because I knew she wasn’t happy with me. They called me to pick her up and when they brought her out she was so excited to see me and she wasn’t interested in letting me look her over very well and we went home. When I was finally able to get a complete look over I was not happy. I could get over her butt being cut down way too much but it was so choppy looking it was ridiculous. My daughter said to give it a few weeks and see how it looks because she has 2 poms as well and the first time they were groomed it took a couple weeks of growing before they looked really good. Unfortunately it got worse instead of better! My late Mother-in-law bred/showed standard poodles for over 30 yrs so I’ve been a witness to amazing scissor work from her and from her competitors. If you have a dog that gets scissored instead of clipped or is scissored after it’s clipped DONT come here.
They lack the skills necessary to make a dog look like its hair is supposed to grow the way it looks after it’s groomed. Practice makes perfect but only if you’re aware of the issues. Personally, I didn’t care for the groomer because she was very rude to me but if she was really good I’d get over that but she isn’t even good let alone really good. I’ll NEVER get her groomed here again.

Done with Petco!!! If I could give zero stars I would, because that’s what this place now deserves!!! (It was somewhat better before the recent remodeling). My dog got sprayed by a skunk this morning and I was able to schedule a last-minute grooming appointment for 945a. I arrived about ten minutes early and was told by the receptionist (who was extremely rude by the way) that the groomer would not be in until 10a!? (Then wh

8thy have a 945a slot available???) A few minutes later, another customer came in and was able to get her dog in for grooming/haircut. Did I mention that the receptionist was extremely rude? She then told the other customer how to care for her dog in between grooming appointments (the dog looked very well-cared for and not in any kind of distress whatsoever). I then asked if my dog would be able to get his scheduled grooming, as we were there first. The receptionist then started lecturing me re how to get rid of skunk odor, that it’s a different service and that the groomer, once she came in at 10a, might not be able to accommodate given the circumstances. At that point, I indicated Petco had lost a customer and we were leaving. She then said she would put me down as a “no-show” - really? … my dog and I were there, the staff were not! Had been a loyal customer of Petco for ten years, but now I will NEVER bring my beloved dog to this place again!!! … by the way, I was able to schedule a grooming appointment for Buster at PetSmart.
