The employees are amazing, especially Eric. Low key he's the best employee there and should get a raise or something.

Discrimination would be strong but feeling isolated or segregated would not be far-fetched. I’ve played noon ball at the West Side since 2006. Post pandemic, players have gotten away with hogging the court. I had a long discussion with Y director (Marsha) in hopes of improving member experience about a year ago. She only recently put up a sign threatening to banish anyone caught running the court. No enforcement. Complicit. Many people I used to see here left. I’ve heard where they’ve gone. I’ve heard second hand they’re not happy. The irony is the YMCA has inclusion programs where I’m witnessing exclusion…and it feels organized, and have some theories why there’s an effort to discourage members like me.I’m not litigious, but I imagine someone could be if they are/had been a member like me. My voice was not heard. In fact, it’s more insulting that up to 100 players would allow (be complicit) in winning five to exclude as many as 20 people waiting to play during noon hour. And, none will back me when I speak up. Think basis for a Lord Of The Flies scenario. They defy banishment. Why?It’s complicit, the director appears a puppet. I get it. She doesn’t want to deal with it. Very bad message. I’m tuned in. A member (even) recently suggested a plan that would segregate members, and diminish the experience I’ve had, had signed up for. Who comes up with stuff like that? Others want me to play Pickle ball . Why??The Y does not stand up for me, a 16 year member. 1 star.

Too busy most times. Lots of kids parked on exercise machines reading their phones so it makes it difficult to get in one’s workout
