Pet Wants Green Bay
1844 Westline Rd, Green BayI have been a PetWants customer for almost two years now and I cannot say enough great things. We switched to PetWants because one of my dogs was having extreme skin allergies and was constantly itching. Her skin was very flakey and dry. A couple months after switching to PetWants, her skin got much better and she now has very healthy skin and fur with no itching. It has also helped my other dog, who is a picky eater... he loves PetWants dog food. We first switched to the Salmon and Rice blend and have now gone between that and Grain Free Whitefish and Duck. Both of my dogs are senior dogs and people are always impressed by their coats and energy levels!

Packerland Kennel Club Inc
2031 Bellevue St, Green BayI attended a 'Fast Cat'(?) at Packerland as a volunteer. It was a three day event where they set up a 100(?) yard straight course for the dogs to run. The dogs chase a lure on a motorized string and a electronic timing beam measures their speed. The dog's family pays a fee to run the course and the dogs earn points toward fancy ribbons. It was fun to be a part of it. A photographer captures a great shot of your dog at speed. You meet all kinds of dogs (fast/slow, big/tiny) and their handlers. The dogs seem to have the time of their lives. The club members at Packerland were super nice. They even provided great snacks and a lunch for volunteers and racer families.

Advanced Aquarium Systems
1720 S Ashland Ave, Green BayI drive about three hours one way to visit this shop fairly regularly, and I own a pet store myself. This place is unlike any I have seen. The tanks theirselves are wild- all antique metal framed tanks and each is crystal clear with a wide variety of fish. Like- fish you can only hope to see in any pet store- but in every single tank. I love seeing the ‘locally bred’ signs especially, as that’s fun and a great way to connect with the community. My review aside, many of my customers (from a town three hours away) have told me they also love visiting this store and regularly buy fish from there as well, as the selection can’t be beat.So if the tons of other reviews praising this shop don’t do it, take it from another pet store owner. This shop is amazing.

Allouez Animal Hospital
801 Hoffman Rd #121, Green BayOur beloved golden doodle is almost 10 years old. She is an integral part of our family. We've used Buddy's Vets (formerly Allouez Animal Hospital) for years, with more frequent needs & visits in 2022. She's had two lumps removed, one benign and one malignant, and also had exploratory surgery to remove an object she had swallowed that was obstructing her colon. On each occasion Teddy was treated was such compassion and professionalism from the moment we walked in the door. Dr. Harper is an outstanding vet and surgeon, and the sensitivity and kindness she displays makes her even more amazing. Every technician and receptionist displays and equal level of humanity. Every team member carefully listens and offers a thoughtful response. We couldn't be more impressed or appreciative of the care we receive at Buddy's Vets. Thank you! Cindy D.

Oak View Veterinary Hospital
2770 Manitowoc Rd, Green BayI had an exceptional experience at Oakview Veterinary Hospital, where I visited with my cat, Lego, today. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff, who all smiled and enjoyed their work. One unique feature that stood out was the separate waiting room for cats, which was also infused with Feliway—such a thoughtful touch to keep pets calm! Lego, who is usually quite vocal at vet appointments, was surprisingly quiet and at ease.
Amelia, the vet tech who assisted us, was incredibly kind and took a thorough history of Lego—something I hadn’t experienced at other clinics. Dr. LeMahieu was attentive and genuinely interested in Lego’s well-being. We spent significant time discussing Lego’s health in detail, and Dr. LeMahieu’s care and attention were remarkable. He even took the time to count Lego’s toes, which made me smile. It was the first time I felt someone cared for Lego as much as I did.
A veterinarian, not a corporation, independently owns this clinic, and the difference in quality of care was immediately apparent. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking personalized, compassionate pet care.

Pet Sitting & Training
Miller Heights K9 Academy
3185 S Ridge Rd, Green BayI would definitely reccomend the Miller Heights K-9 Academy to anyone looking for daycare, boarding, or training! To share my experience:
I sent my 1 year old Labrador Retriever Mitch to an 8 day board and train program in which he brushed up on some basic obedience training, as well as learning some new commands. Prior to his training he would walk with a taught leash, pulling me along the entire time. He had a bad case of separation anxiety leading to crying, whining and barking in the kennel. I spoke with Lindsay on the phone and discussed what exactly I was looking to get out of the training program. Lindsay worked with Mitch to teach him how to walk loose leash, and be very aware of the handlers directions such as an inward turn or an outward turn. Mitch worked on duration during the “sit” command, and to help Mitch learn to regulate his emotions, Lindsey taught him the “place” command. This helped him relax during periods of boredom and loneliness which translated well into kennel training as well. Mitch was taught to listen to commands and work on duration of commands until given the release command “okay free”. On the last day of his program I attended a take home training session in which Lindsay taught me everything they had worked on. She explained to me the process of training and what tools they used for training. She taught me how she corrected him during training sessions, such as telling him “no”, using a “working level” on an E-collar, and using the leash to apply a small amount of pressure on his herm sprenger collar to core every the pressure he applied when pulling on the leash. Lindsay explained to me the working level on an e-collar is similar to tapping on the shoulder, a small way to get your dogs attention when they are distracted during training. This working level can be adjusted based on the level of distraction. I was able to purchase a treat pouch, and herm sprenger collar, both tools used during their training sessions. After taking Mitch home and working with him to maintain what he learned in his session, I see a lot of improvement! Training my dog has always been something that strengthens our bond, and it has been great to work with Lindsey to get through the tough parts of training!
Lindsay offers free follow up lessons after training programs to ensure your dog has truly developed the abilities taught during training.

Canterbury Tails Pet Care Center
1964 Donbea St, Green BayBeing fairly new to Canterbury, we had to board our dogs(large breed and small breed) for a week. One of our dogs has separation anxiety, so we were concerned about how it might go. Part of the daycare / boarding process is to do a trial day for at least 4 hours. Both dogs did great and had a good report from staff. Upon arrival, they seemed very friendly and efficient. They asked if the dogs should be together or separated and if they can go into a regular kennel or a suite. After our week long trip, upon pick up, we learned they had nightly staff, and they provided us with a report card. They do offer enrichment opportunities, such as water play for a small fee extra. The pricing is very reasonable. The location is good. However, the street is a little hidden off the main road. We did see they offer some basic grooming for bath and nails but have not utilized those services yet. We will be back for the occasional day and boarding. I would highly recommend Canterbury to anyone.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
Cheesesteak Rebellion
1301 S Broadway, Green BayI'VE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN If I had to create a restaurant idea that combined all my favorite things, this is exactly what that dream would look like! STAR WARS CHEESE CURDS CHEESESTEAKS CHEESECAKES My brothers and I were treated to a great experience on our trip to Green Bay This place is amazing. The entire inside is decked out in Star Wars memorabilia. They also have a small arcade area with Star Wars pinball machines and arcade games. The menu is simple. And the choice is easy. Just order a cheesesteak and some cheese curds. We ordered both the Galaxy Curds and garlic cheese curds. I personally liked the Galaxy Curds more. And to be honest, they may have been the best cheese curds I've ever had! I also ordered the Rebel Whiz and my brother ordered the Pepper Cheesesteak add Cajun shrimp. Both were amazing. Meat was thinly sliced and super flavorful. And last but not least we got the raspberry cheesecake. ALSO AMAZING. Make sure keep your eye on them and order one before they're gone. When we got there 6 raspberry in the fridge. When we got done eating there was only one left. Overall this place is what dreams are made of if you are a fan of Star Wars and like delicious cheesesteaks and cheesecakes!

The owner does a magnificent job running this sanctuary. It's clean, tidy, spacious, and the animals which were mostly cats on this particular day were so precious. I was so touched by this sanctuary. May every animal that lives at Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary have enduring love, and happiness.
